Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated U.S. Tax Manager/Senior Manager to lead and manage tax compliance and advisory engagements across a diverse portfolio of U.S. clients. This role will focus on overseeing the delivery of high-quality tax services, managing tax teams, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of U.S. tax laws, leadership capabilities, and experience in managing teams working on complex tax returns and advisory projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Clients Engagement Management:
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns for corporations (1120, 1120S), and partnerships (1065)
- Manage client engagements from planning to delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality
- Identify tax planning opportunities, advise clients on tax strategies, and proactively communicate tax-related updates
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients and maintain strong relationships
Team Leadership s People Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals including seniors, staff, and preparers across locations
- Provide technical guidance and training on U.S. tax matters
- Review team deliverables and ensure high standards of quality and compliance
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and development of tax staff
Operational Excellence:
- Monitor workflow, manage deadlines, and ensure effective utilization of resources
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Ensure adherence to firm policies and regulatory guidelines
Technical Expertise Innovation:
- Conduct tax research and provide technical advice on complex tax matters (e.g., international tax, MCA, state nexus, 5471, 8858, 8938, etc.)
- Stay up to date with evolving U.S. federal and state tax legislation
- Support leadership in strategic planning and development of tax practice
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred
- 8+ years of progressive U.S. tax experience, with at least 23 years in a managerial capacity
- Strong expertise in U.S. tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals
- Experience with international forms (5471, 8865, 8858, etc.) is a plus
- Proven leadership, coaching, and project management skills
- Proficient in U.S. tax software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or similar
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with U.S. CPA firms or within global delivery centers/offshore models
- Exposure to U.S. tax technology tools (CCH, UltraTax, XCM, etc.)
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 740 is a plus

- Full-time
- Shift timing 2PM to 11PM (expected to stretch during busy season)
