This hybrid role collaborates across Engineering, Product, Design, Developer Relations, and Product Marketing to ensure accuracy, scalability, and user focus, while growing the team and shaping the documentation roadmap.

The the company Documentation team is a group of writers and engineers who develop and maintain the documentation for the the company product family. Our goal is to help our readers, both humans and AI, successfully use the company products by providing outstanding documentation. The the company Documentation team is a part of the the company Core Product organization and is tightly integrated with the engineering teams responsible for each product. We are hiring a Manager Technical Writer to guide the creation of world-class documentation for the the company data platform.

You will use your leadership skills to manage and grow a talented team of writers, prioritize and plan documentation projects, and influence the strategic vision for the the company docs. Your AI-forward mindset coupled with strong writing and technical skills will guide production of clear reference docs and tutorials on high-complexity features. Your team's work, along with the other two the company Docs teams, support AI agents, answer engines, and a large global community of new and experienced the company users.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Gurgaon for our hybrid working model.

Candidate Profile

Candidates must have extensive technical writing experience and 2+ years of experience managing a team of technical writers, developer advocates, or other technical communications-focused roles. Beyond that, we are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about developing writing expertise on a team through reviews and mentorship

• Has experience prioritizing and planning documentation projects

• Works collaboratively with other documentation leaders and writers

• Grew a technical writing team through interviewing, hiring, and onboarding talented writers

• Has hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate documentation work

• Leverages sound editorial judgment to evaluate AI-generated content against source material for technical accuracy

• Possesses strong critical reading and writing skills

• Has experience with cloud and database technologies

• Is able to write code for technical examples in at least one programming language (e.g., C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript). Comfortable reading and interpreting code

Position Expectations

• Lead a technical writing team with opportunity for team growth

• Integrate with a highly collaborative, globally distributed group of documentation leaders to build a strong cross-functional documentation team

• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Design, Developer Relations, and Product Marketing to ensure the documentation meets the needs of our users

• Guide the team's adoption of AI-assisted research, writing, and review workflows, ensuring quality and technical accuracy remain high

• Foster a positive and effective team culture

• Develop the writing, testing, and technical skills of the team through coaching

• Contribute feedback to the team through copy review and planning discussions

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product on the team's roadmap

• Interview and hire talented writers for all areas of the the company Docs team

• Advocate for users in everything your team produces

• Produce technically accurate and well-written documentation when time permits

In 3 months:

• You've met with all of your team members and are starting to learn their interests, strengths, and areas for development

• You've become comfortable with our toolchain, AI tooling, and writing workflow

• You're getting to know our partners in Engineering and Product Management

• You're getting comfortable with participating in intra and inter team discussions

• You've completed any required technical and leadership training required for the the company Product team

In 6 months:

• You review your team's work and are using their writing to learn more about the the company data platform

• You've adapted to our style of writing and instill technical writing best practices in team members' work

• You have worked with each team member to develop a growth plan tailored to their career goals

• You and your manager have discussed your career trajectory and growth opportunities

• You've developed a working knowledge of the company's products and know who to follow up with when you need to learn more

• You've helped the team improve and establish effective, well-vetted AI-assisted workflows for drafting and review

In 12 months:

• You're actively guiding the team to produce consistently high quality documentation for enterprise architectures, entire feature sets, complex tutorials, and high level concepts

• You know how much work your team can manage and are delivering content at a healthy pace

• You provide expert copy and technical reviews for your team members

• You provide best practices and coaching on AI-assisted workflows for your team members
