Tulsi Therapeutics in Hyderabad seeks a hands-on QC professional skilled in multicolour flow cytometry and cell-based assay development to characterize stem cells and their exosomes.
You will establish, optimize, and interpret flow cytometry assays, perform supporting ELISA, Western blotting, PCR/qPCR, and maintain GMP/GLP documentation, SOPs, and data integrity, collaborating cross-functionally with QA and manufacturing. 3–5 years of lab experience required; MSc/ MTech in related field.
Tulsi Therapeutics is a biotechnology organization focused on advancing innovative therapies through cutting-edge cellular and molecular technologies. The company emphasizes rigorous scientific research, robust analytical methods, and collaborative teamwork to develop impactful solutions for unmet medical needs. Tulsi Therapeutics supports a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and cross-functional collaboration across laboratory and development teams. Team members are encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership of projects, and help shape scalable platforms for future therapeutic applications.
We are looking for a technically strong and hands-on QC professional with demonstrated expertise in multicolour flow cytometry and cell-based assay development and characterization.
The primary responsibility will be to establish, perform, optimize and interpret flow cytometry-based assays for the characterization of stem cells and their associated exosomes.
The candidate should have a sound understanding of cell biology and immunophenotyping, along with working experience in complementary analytical techniques such as ELISA, cell culture, Western blotting and PCR/qPCR. Experience in MSC characterization or cell therapy-related research will be an added advantage.
1. Flow Cytometry & Cell-Based Assay Characterization – Primary Responsibility
Independently perform and interpret multicolour flow cytometry assays for stem cell immunophenotyping and characterization.
Establish and perform flow cytometry-based characterization of stem cells at different stages of manufacturing and for final product quality assessment.
Generate scientifically sound assay reports and support the establishment of acceptance criteria and analytical specifications.
2. Supporting Analytical & Molecular Biology Techniques
Perform and interpret supporting assays, including ELISA, Western blotting, PCR/qPCR and other relevant protein and molecular characterization techniques.
Undertake mammalian cell culture, cell viability, cell counting and cell-based potency assays when required.
3. Quality Control & Documentation
Prepare, review and maintain SOPs, analytical protocols, assay worksheets, raw data and QC reports.
Support analytical method development, qualification, validation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP requirements, good documentation practices and data integrity principles.
Maintain laboratory readiness, equipment calibration/qualification records and appropriate controls for analytical testing.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with QA and Manufacturingteams to supportproduct characterization and batch testing.
Support technical investigations, deviations, OOS/OOT assessments and regulatory documentation, as required.
M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Cell Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry or a related discipline.
3–5 years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience, with strong practical expertise in multicolour flow cytometry.
Demonstrated experience in developing, executing and interpreting flow cytometry-based immunophenotyping assays is essential.
Working knowledge of ELISA, mammalian cell culture, Western blotting and PCR/qPCR.
Experience in stem cell biology, cell therapy and/or exosome research is preferred.
Familiarity with analytical method qualification, validation and GMP documentation will be an advantage.
Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
A hands-on technical expert who can independently drive flow cytometry-based assay development and characterization, rather than simply perform routine testing. The ideal candidate should have strong scientific fundamentals, good analytical interpretation skills and the ability to establish robust, reproducible assays for cell-based biologics.
