Manage a team of professionals based in Thane, responsible for determining and setting regional inventory levels, supply and production planning as well as regional order processing within business unit of Lubricant Additives. Scope of work is to manage and ensure the correct execution of supply chain processes from demand planning through order-to-cash, regionally. This encompasses all activities in the Order-to-Cash and Supply Chain processes from order receipt through invoicing with an emphasis on: Sales order management planning and monitoring shipments within the region; monitoring and control of service metrics; monitoring and ensuring that each step in the order fulfillment process is timely completed; timely and accurate communication with customers, both internal and external; coordination with forecasted sales, price management, and credit limit assessment in order to ensure the highest possible level of service with a minimal amount of inventory. This role owns the customer experience from an operational perspective and is the primary interface between customers, Sales, Integrated Business Planning, and Logistics.
Manage and execute team activities in line with SCM leadership objectives. Responsibilities include hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, time management, and ensuring adequate coverage. Guide, train, and monitor team members to ensure task fulfillment, process adherence, and productivity standards.
Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand while optimizing production efficiency and capacity. Use planning and execution systems (e.g., PPDS/SAP) to create detailed daily schedules and conduct regular reviews to adjust plans as needed.
Plan raw material replenishment and place purchase requisitions. Monitor material deliveries and usage in coordination with procurement and manufacturing teams. Drive continuous optimization of working capital and inventory (SMOG) in line with business targets, including leading monthly inventory meetings.
Manage regional sales orders from receipt to fulfillment, including coordination with production planning, master data updates, and order processing across systems. Execute allocation schemes and recommend delivery options to meet customer deadlines. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional support.
Collaborate with sales, logistics, and production teams to align on customer needs and ensure seamless operations. Ensure compliance with local and global policies, maintain accurate system data, and manage approvals for order releases in accordance with global guidelines.
