Job summary

Northern Trust Pune office is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead complex financial risk programs and drive end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will own outcomes, align with global stakeholders, and supervise a high‑performing team while partnering with IT, risk, and business units.

The role emphasizes GRC/IRM implementations, ServiceNow integrations, agile governance, and strong communication to executives.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing large transformation programs in financial risk, preferably GRC implementation on IRM.
• Strong understanding of financial and non-financial risk domain.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to manage a high-performance team.
• Hands-on experience on IRM ServiceNow Integrations will be an advantage.
• Highly results-oriented with experience in leading technical implementations in similar scope.
• Work with BAs and PMs to develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive & take bottom line responsibility for implementation and operational management of complex multiple stream programs involving highly secure and scalable financial risk solutions.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships and communication with global stakeholders, other IT teams, and business areas.
• Take bottom line responsibility of the program outcome including financials, technical solution, schedule, talent and business outcome & trust.
• Divide design decisions into actionable tasks and ensure governance for end-to-end completion.
• Mentor team on delivery, technical & functional aspects and resolve queries.
• Communicate progress of features, timelines, estimations and deliverables to business and tech stakeholders.
• Drive change requests and coordinate with vendors for enhancements.

Job Description AND Principal Responsibilities

• Drive & take bottom line responsibility for implementation and operational management of complex multiple stream programs involving highly secure and scalable financial risk solution for the business.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships and communication with global stakeholders, other IT teams, and business areas.
• Take bottom line responsibility and accountability of the Program outcome including financials, technical solution, schedule, talent and business outcome & trust.
• Divide the design decisions into actionable tasks, estimate the tasks & ensure assignment of these tasks to the team and ensure governance for the end-to-end completion of same.
• Create vision and future talent strategy in line with NT business and technology strategy.
• Drive research, proof of concepts and design considerations and get a buy in from stake holders for its implementation.
• Mentor team on the delivery, technical & functional aspects and resolve their queries.
• Take bottom line responsibility of communicate to business and technology stakeholders about progress of features, timelines, estimations and project deliverables.
• Provide advice on alternative options, risks and the associated impact to the business and technical architecture
• Able to operate in agile execution model with ability to integrate continuous integration and continuous deployment frameworks.
• Able to drive and coordinate change request process for development and enhancements
• Ability to work with vendors and support staff on execution of solution , enhancements and support.
• Design new practices and patterns on the ServiceNow or any financial risk platform will be an added advantage.
• Should be flexible for upskilling and manage team members of different skill sets

Minimum qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
• 15 +years of extensive work experience on financial and non-financial risk platforms, GRC module and IRM implementation.

Required Skills

• Experience in managing large transformation program in financial risk preferably GRC implementation on IRM.
• Strong understanding of financial and non-financial risk domain.
• Strong technical & system thought leadership and ability to manage a high-performance team.
• Hands-on experience on IRM ServiceNow Integrations will be an advantage.
• Highly result oriented & experience in leading technical implementation efforts in similar scope, size;
• Work closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to develop the agreed solutions.
• Strong capability of handle multiple streams and stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage complex program risk and senior management communications.
• Ability to handle medium to large team in risk domain, with the ability to work under ambiguous scenarios and ability to establish trust through SME knowledge either in process or technology or risk domain.
• Good understanding of talent management including vendors staff and associated project financials.
• Strong understanding of Agile ways of working.

Nice To Have Skills

• ServiceNow CAS, CAD, CIS-IRM, CIS-CSM, CIS-ITSM Certified
• Understanding of other risk systems like Murex, Archer.
• Integrate ServiceNow application(s) with third party systems/applications via APIs is a must skill.
