Job summary

Emerson in India seeks a seasoned Quality leader with deep manufacturing experience to drive quality strategy across production, engineering and supply chain. You will define quality vision, lead cross-functional initiatives, and ensure QMS excellence, audits, and regulatory compliance, while partnering with customers on quality matters.

You’ll mentor QA/QC teams, advance CAPA, improve FPY/PPM metrics, and push for design-for-quality and process capability.

Qualifications

  • Define and implement quality vision, strategy, and objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Lead cross-functional quality initiatives across production, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Oversee and improve QMS and ensure compliant with relevant certifications and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., RoHS, REACH, CE, UL), customer-specific requirements and ensure customer feedback handling.
  • Maintain and improve QMS documentation, procedures, and controls.
  • Monitor and improve product quality metrics (e.g., FPY, PPM, COPQ).
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external issues.
  • Drive supplier quality development and incoming inspection protocols.
  • Manage and mentor the quality assurance and quality control teams.
  • Build a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement with the team.
  • Interface with key customers on quality matters, audits, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design-for-quality and process capability.
  • Support Regionalization, localization and new product development initiatives along with Asia Pacific team for specific site-based developments
  • Manage stakeholders as per organization structure

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Who You Are:

You’re a seasoned quality leader with deep experience in manufacturing. You drive compliance, and build high-performing teams. Your balanced technical expertise with strategic vision, ensuring quality is not just maintained but elevated as a business advantage.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 10+ years of experience in quality leadership roles within manufacturing, exposure to valves/coils or related components will be an added advantage

  • Deep knowledge of quality tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Six Sigma, GT&D)

  • Proven experience with ISO standards, regulatory audits, and customer quality systems

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience with ERP and digital quality systems

  • Ability to influence across functions and drive change
