Job summary

Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited in Mumbai seeks an experienced professional to oversee day-to-day operations of Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and manage fund accounting, NAV, and investor reporting.

You will coordinate with custodians, banks, and service providers, ensure regulatory filings, and support audits; CA preferred with 5–7 years of relevant experience.

The role requires strong Excel skills and stakeholder management to service investors effectively.

Qualifications

• CA with experience in AIF operations preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).
• Manage drawdowns, distributions, fund accounting, investor allocations, NAV, cash flows and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with custodians, fund administrators, banks, RTA, depositories and other service providers.
• Handle fund bank and custody account operations, including payments, wire transfers, settlements and reconciliations.
• Manage demat issuance of AIF units and related corporate actions.

Financial Control & Reporting

• Preparation and review periodic financial statements and support statutory and internal audits.

Investor Servicing

• Complete/Prepare and review investor-provided reporting templates, capital account statements and communications.
• Respond to investor queries in a timely manner.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure timely tax, regulatory and statutory filings.
• Track regulatory changes affecting AIFs and update processes accordingly.
• Maintain records for audits, inspections and regulatory reviews.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of SEBI AIF Regulations, IFSCA FME Regulations, fund structures and compliance.
• Sound knowledge of fund accounting, NAV, reconciliations, investor reporting and financial controls.
• Experience in treasury, custody, settlements, audits, filings and investor servicing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Background

• AIF, asset management, fund administration or fund accounting experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple funds simultaneously.

Educational Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
