Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced Security Director for the Dhubri power plant in Assam. You will lead the entire physical security apparatus, ensuring 24/7 protection of critical infrastructure, personnel, and assets, and design threat assessments tailored to Assam's context.

You will coordinate with law enforcement, manage crisis drills, and drive investigations, while enforcing corporate security framework and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline is mandatory.
• Advanced certifications in Industrial Security Management, Disaster Management, or Criminology are highly preferred.
• 12+ years of total professional experience in security operations.
• Ex-servicemen with SSC ranks (Major, Lieutenant Commander, etc.) with 10–12 years of service will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 security for Dhubri power plant including assets and personnel.
• Design threat perception strategies and conduct vulnerability assessments for Assam context.
• Lead on-site security workforce: deployment, training, discipline, and readiness.
• Integrate and monitor surveillance systems, PIDS, and access control daily.
• Coordinate with police, intelligence, and district administration for proactive intelligence.
• Develop and execute crisis management and emergency evacuation protocols with regular drills.
• Lead investigations into security breaches, thefts, or disruptions and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Adani Group's security framework and statutory industrial security mandates.

Design and operationalize comprehensive threat perception strategies and vulnerability assessments specific to the unique geographical and operational context of Assam.

Oversee the deployment, training, and operational readiness of the on-site security workforce, ensuring high discipline and rapid response capabilities.

Direct the integration and daily monitoring of advanced electronic surveillance systems, perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS), and access control mechanisms.

Coordinate seamlessly with local law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and district administration to gather proactive intelligence and mitigate external threats.

Formulate and execute robust crisis management and emergency evacuation protocols, conducting regular mock drills for chemical, fire, or physical intrusion scenarios.

Lead investigations into any security breaches, material theft, or operational disruptions, ensuring detailed root-cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.

Enforce strict adherence to Adani Group's corporate security framework and statutory compliance mandates related to industrial security.

Qualifications

Years & Type of Experience

12+ years of total professional experience in security operations.

Direct experience in managing high-stakes industrial security environments, specifically handling labor relations, material movement, and perimeter security in remote or sensitive locations.

Ex-servicemen holding a Short Service Commission (SSC) rank such as Major, Lieutenant Commander, Squadron Leader, Deputy Commandant, or Deputy Superintendent of Police, with 10-12 years of service experience, will also be considered for this role.
