We are looking for an experienced Manager – Data Analytics to lead our SAP BW/HANA, Cloud data warehousing technologies in Data & Analytics team at the IDT.
In this high-impact role, you will lead a team of data and analytics professionals, drive enterprise data platform transformation, and enable scalable, governed, and high-performing analytics solutions across SAP and Snowflake environments.
You will work closely with Business, DT, Data Governance, Architecture, and cross-functional teams to modernize the enterprise data landscape, enable SAP S/4HANA transformation, expand Snowflake capabilities, and deliver data-driven business outcomes.
This role is ideal for a strong SAP BW/HANA and Snowflake leader who combines technical expertise, data architecture understanding, delivery management, strategic thinking, and stakeholder leadership.
- Lead and manage a 10+ member SAP BW/HANA, Snowflake, and Data Analytics team.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership for SAP BW, BW/4HANA, HANA, Snowflake, and enterprise data solutions.
- Define and implement scalable data architecture, data models, integration patterns, and analytics solutions.
- Drive modernization of legacy SAP BW environments toward BW/4HANA, HANA, and cloud-based Snowflake platforms.
- Establish standards for data engineering, data modeling, performance optimization, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise data platforms.
- Lead enterprise data transformation initiatives aligned with SAP S/4HANA and cloud modernization strategies.
- Enable reusable and scalable data products to support Business Intelligence, advanced analytics, AI, and reporting.
- Drive modernization of traditional reporting and data warehouse solutions toward cloud-native architectures.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity modern data engineering practices.
- Partner with business teams to translate business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
- Drive the adoption and expansion of Snowflake as an enterprise data platform.
- Establish best practices for Snowflake architecture, data ingestion, data modeling, workload management, performance, and cost optimization.
- Lead integration of SAP data with Snowflake using appropriate ETL/ELT and data integration technologies.
- Drive implementation of scalable data pipelines supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
- Establish standards for Snowflake development, deployment, monitoring, security, and operational support.
- Partner with Data Governance and Security teams to implement appropriate data access, classification, and governance controls.
- Manage data platform projects and ensure successful delivery within agreed scope, timelines, quality, and budget.
- Lead a team of 10+ data engineering, SAP BW/HANA, Snowflake, and analytics professionals.
- Establish clear technical direction, delivery priorities, ownership, and accountability across the team.
- Mentor team members and develop technical and leadership capabilities.
- Build a strong talent pipeline across SAP, Snowflake, data engineering, analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Promote a culture of ownership, speed of delivery, continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Manage resource capacity, demand planning, prioritization, and ramp-up/ramp-down requirements.
- Partner with senior Business, DT, Architecture, Data Governance, and Technology leaders to define the enterprise data roadmap.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and transformation priorities effectively to executive stakeholders.
- Drive alignment across global teams and multiple technology functions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify the technology landscape, reduce technical debt, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Influence enterprise technology decisions through data-driven analysis, architecture recommendations, and business value assessments.
- Gain broad exposure to SAP BW/HANA, Snowflake, enterprise data architecture, and cloud data transformation.
- Develop deeper expertise in SAP S/4HANA data transformation and integration with modern cloud data platforms.
- Strengthen experience in enterprise data strategy, governance, data products, and analytics transformation.
- Build leadership experience managing a diverse, cross-functional data and analytics organization.
- Gain exposure to AI, automation, advanced analytics, and next-generation data platform capabilities.
- Develop experience driving enterprise-wide technology modernization and digital transformation.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP BW/BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, or related data technologies.
- Strong hands-on and leadership experience with SAP BW/HANA and Snowflake.
- Strong understanding of SAP BW architecture, data modeling, extraction, transformation, reporting, and performance optimization.
- Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA data models and integration.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, data warehouse/data lakehouse concepts, data modeling, ELT/ETL, and cloud data platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data pipelines and analytics solutions.
- Experience integrating SAP data with Snowflake and other enterprise data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data engineering concepts.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, data classification, and access controls.
- Proven experience managing 10+ team membersand leading complex data and analytics delivery.
- Strong project, program, delivery, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across Business, IT, Architecture, Data Governance, and Technology functions.
- Experience leading SAP BW to BW/4HANA or Snowflake modernization initiatives.
- Strong experience implementing Snowflake platforms and cloud data warehouses.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation and downstream data architecture.
- Experience with data integration tools such as Matillion, Qlik, SLT, BODS, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies.
- Experience with BI and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies.
- Experience implementing data governance and security solutions such as Immuta or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, or modern SAP data platforms.
- Experience establishing reusable data products and enterprise data models.
- Strong experience in cloud transformation and enterprise data modernization.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, automation, and productivity improvements within data teams.
- Experience working in complex, global, matrixed organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM discipline.
- Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- SAP BW/HANA, Snowflake, cloud, or data engineering certification is highly desirable.
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
