Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech from a reputed university.
  • Policy analysis: understanding energy laws, tariffs, and state/federal mandates like RPS.
  • Permitting and Siting: navigating EIAs and local/national authorizations.
  • Grid Interconnection: familiarity with transmission protocols and open-access regulations.
  • Contract Negotiation: drafting/reviewing PPAs and energy banking/land lease agreements.
  • Awareness of Quality, Environment and OSHAS Management System requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Policy Advocacy & Regulatory Intelligence: monitor and interpret central/state policies, tariff orders, and regulatory developments affecting renewables.
  • Strategic Development Support: provide regulatory due diligence and grid connectivity feasibility studies across project stages.
  • Stakeholder Management & Representation: represent the company before regulatory commissions, government authorities, and industry bodies.
  • Regulatory Drafts & Submissions: draft comments, petitions, replies and rejoinders on proposed regulations.
  • Statutory Compliance & Liaisoning: facilitate liaison with government departments to obtain permits, clearances and interconnections.
  • Maintain awareness of renewable energy law, land use, and environmental policy considerations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and monitor ongoing policy developments.

Job Description
  • Policy Advocacy & Regulatory Intelligence: Monitor, interpret, and analyze central and state policies, tariff orders, regulatory developments, and case laws impacting renewable energy assets (solar, wind, hybrids, BESS).
  • Strategic Development Support: Provide regulatory due diligence, power evacuation/grid connectivity feasibility studies, and strategic advisory across pre- and post-commissioning project stages.
  • Stakeholder Management & Representation: Represent the company before regulatory commissions, government authorities, and industry bodies during public hearings and sector events.
  • Regulatory Drafts & Submissions: Draft comprehensive comments, petitions, replies, and rejoinders on proposed draft regulations to protect business interests as in when required in alignment to the Company's goal.
  • Statutory Compliance & Liaisoning: Facilitate high-level liaison with government departments and nodal agencies to secure required project clearances, grid interconnections, and statutory permits.
  • Aware of renewable energy, Lan use and Environmental Law, Sustainable Development and conservation, Environmental Policy Advisor and Government relations
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance
  • Monitoring regulatory and policy developments, submission on regulations and policy

issued by CERC/SERC and government relevant to IEX, filing of petitions/applications/ compliances before relevant regulatory and appellate authorities

Required Skills And Competencies

B.E/B.Tech. from reputed/recognized university
