Qualifications

• MBA/B.E./B.Tech (Any Discipline) required.
• 10-15 Years experience in the relevant field.
• Direct shift operations leadership for handling fertilizer and mineral cargo.
• Monitor vessel loading/unloading, rake handling, cargo storage.
• Enforce safety protocols and PPE usage; maintain safe shift.
• Coordinate with client representatives, transporters, and internal teams.
• Oversee cargo quality/quantity; ensure standards.
• Prepare and maintain shift operation records and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Direct shift operations for the handling of fertilizer and mineral cargo, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of activities.
• Monitor vessel loading and unloading operations, rake handling, and cargo storage, taking corrective actions as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
• Assess and manage the allocation of resources, including equipment and labor, to support efficient cargo handling during the shift.
• Conduct safety briefings, enforce the use of personal protective equipment, and maintain a safe working environment throughout the shift.
• Facilitate effective communication with client representatives, transporters, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee the quality and quantity of cargo during handling, ensuring that all operations meet the required standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of shift operations, including cargo handling rates and resource utilization.
• Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Job Purpose: Shift In Charge - Backup Fertilizer and Minerals Operations is responsible for leading the shift activities related to the handling and processing of fertilizer and mineral cargo at the port. This role ensures that operations during the shift are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the ports operational standards and safety protocols.

Experience & Educational Requirements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

(degree, training, or certification required)

MBA/B.E./B. Tech (Any Discipline)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)

10-15 Years experience in the relevant field
