Job summary

NCR Voyix seeks a Manager, Quality Engineering to lead a team of quality engineers and ensure delivery of high-quality software products. You will oversee QA processes, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement across the SDLC.

You will collaborate with product, development, and cross-functional teams, champion automation, monitor quality metrics, and participate in hiring and performance evaluations to build a strong, quality-focused organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
• Solid understanding of performance testing, security testing, and usability testing principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Quality Engineers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies, methodologies, and processes for software products.
• Oversee the design, development, and execution of test plans, test cases, and automated tests to ensure product quality and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product management, development, and other cross-functional teams to integrate quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Drive the adoption of automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor and report on key quality metrics, identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Champion quality best practices, including defect prevention, root cause analysis, and continuous process improvement.
• Manage and prioritize quality engineering tasks and projects to meet release deadlines and business objectives.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in quality assurance and software testing.
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations for the quality engineering team.
