Job summary

NCR Voyix is seeking a Manager of Quality Engineering to lead a team of quality engineers and ensure the delivery of high‑quality software across the SDLC.

You will design and implement QA strategies, drive test automation (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG), collaborate with product and development teams, and mentor staff while advancing CI/CD and cloud testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in software QA/quality engineering; 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience designing and executing comprehensive test strategies.
• Expertise in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG.
• Know-how in performance, security, and usability testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Quality Engineers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies, methodologies, and processes for software products.
• Oversee the design, development, and execution of test plans, test cases, and automated tests to ensure product quality and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product management, development, and other cross-functional teams to integrate quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Drive the adoption of automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor and report on key quality metrics, identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Champion quality best practices, including defect prevention, root cause analysis, and continuous process improvement.
• Manage and prioritize quality engineering tasks and projects to meet release deadlines and business objectives.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in quality assurance and software testing.
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations for the quality engineering team.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
• Solid understanding of performance testing, security testing, and usability testing principles.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
