FIMS Hospital is seeking a Manager Purchase (Pharma & Medical Consumables, Lab Items) in the Purchase Department to lead end-to-end procurement. You will build a robust vendor base, negotiate terms, and ensure timely availability of medicines, surgical items, and lab reagents.

The role requires strong negotiation, vendor management, and inventory control skills with 15+ years in pharmaceutical purchasing, preferably in a hospital setting.

Manager Purchase (Pharma & Medical Consumables, Lab Items) in Purchase Department .

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end pharmacy/Lab procurement and purchasing operations.
• Develop and maintain a strong database of pharmaceutical vendors and Company.
• Negotiate competitive prices, credit terms, and supply agreements with vendors.
• Ensure the timely availability of medicines, surgical items, and other pharmacy-related products.
• Monitor purchase costs, inventory levels, stock availability, and expiry management.
• Evaluate vendor performance, product quality, and compliance with hospital requirements.
• Coordinate with the Pharmacy, Stores, Accounts, and other concerned departments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical purchasing, preferably in a hospital.
• Strong vendor network and an established vendor database.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products, procurement processes, and inventory management.
• Ability to manage purchasing operations efficiently and cost-effectively.
