Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager Engineering (Site Engineering Lead) to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust equipment.

The role involves responding to emergencies, breakdowns and malfunctions while ensuring maximised supply chain effectiveness. The position requires a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with extensive site engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyse data systems, procedural activities and information flows and assess the efficiency and costs of logistics processes.
• Research operational costs, industry and regulatory issues and maintain a current and comprehensive database on which to draw for solutions development.
• Use statistical modeling skills to develop, and cost justify logistics solutions to meet agreed customer needs.
• Manage inventories and tactical planning, taking into account customer's future needs.
• Manage /coordinate inter-company shipments and troubleshooting.
