You will oversee the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure while driving modern automation practices.

The ideal candidate blends hands-on engineering with people leadership, enterprise cloud architecture, automated delivery pipelines, and incident management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/cloud engineering experience.
• 3–5 years leading and mentoring teams with delivery outcomes.
• Deep expertise in Azure cloud architecture and AKS.
• Production experience with IaC and automation stacks.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise/Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong database ops: SQL Server, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL.
• Telemetry, tracing, and modern observability platforms.
• Networking fundamentals including WAF, private links, and TLS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the India-based cloud/SRE team, driving excellence and accountability.
• Design and maintain resilient cloud architecture and containerized environments.
• Own end-to-end site reliability, SLOs, incident response, and DR readiness.
• Drive infrastructure as code standards and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product/engineering on cost governance and security compliance.
• Oversee cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and database management.

Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Operations Manager based in India to lead our regional Site Reliability Engineering, cloud infrastructure, and platform operations team. This role oversees the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure while driving modern automation practices. The ideal candidate blends direct people leadership with deep, hands‑on engineering acumen across enterprise cloud architecture, automated delivery pipelines, and production incident management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale our India-based team of cloud and site reliability engineers, fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of resilient cloud architecture, containerized environments, and serverless Experience with optimizing legacy workloads for cloud infrastructure.
• Own end-to-end site reliability, including uptime service level objectives, error budgets, disaster recovery readiness, and operational incident response workflows.
• Drive infrastructure as code standards, configuration management, and robust continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Partner with product and software engineering teams to ensure application architecture aligns with operational requirements, cost governance, and security compliance standards.
• Oversee cloud cost optimization initiatives, resource capacity planning, and database administration across both relational and distributed platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

Core Technical Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related technical roles.
• 3 to 5 years of experience leading and managing teams, including mentoring, performance management, resource planning, and driving team delivery outcomes.
• Deep expertise in enterprise cloud architecture on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Kubernetes Service, Container Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Front Door, and API Management.
• Production mastery of infrastructure as code and configuration automation using Terraform, Helm, PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Proven experience architecting and maintaining secure continuous integration and delivery workflows utilizing GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
• Strong working knowledge of database operations, performance tuning, and lifecycle management for Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL.
• Extensive background in telemetry, distributed tracing, and synthetic monitoring using Application Insights and modern observability platforms.
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including reverse proxies, Web Application Firewalls, private link networking, domain routing, and certificate management.

Leadership and Operational Experience

• Prior experience managing a high-performing engineering team in India responsible for mission-critical, enterprise SaaS environments.
• Demonstrated track record of establishing blameless post-mortem practices, reducing mean time to detection, and driving root-cause remediation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate smoothly with broader business stakeholders and technical leadership.
• Experience balancing high-priority production escalations with long-term platform modernization and technical debt reduction.
