Job summary

Innovassynth Technologies India in Khopoli, Maharashtra seeks a Manager / Senior Manager - PPIC to lead end-to-end production planning, material management, and inventory control in a CDMO setting. You will drive MRP activities, coordinate cross-functionally, and ensure timely customer deliveries.

The role requires a B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering with MBA in Operations or Supply Chain and 12–18 years of relevant experience in API/pharma or contract manufacturing.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering is required; MBA in Operations or Supply Chain preferred.
• Minimum 12–18 years of experience in API/pharma manufacturing, specialty chemicals or contract manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, MRP, and SAP-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on demand and plant capacity.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, QA, Engg, and Commercial teams.
• Lead capacity planning and optimize resource utilization across facilities.
• Drive inventory control, safety stock, and reorder level planning to minimize stockouts and excess.

Role Purpose

The Manager / Senior Manager - Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC) will lead end-to-end production planning, material management, inventory control, capacity planning, and cross-functional coordination to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations and timely customer deliveries. The role will support pilot and commercial manufacturing in a CDMO setup through robust planning systems, inventory optimization, and effective utilization of resources.

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and plant capacities.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to committed delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Commercial teams for smooth execution.
• Drive capacity planning and resource optimization across manufacturing facilities.
• Manage production exceptions, bottlenecks, and recovery plans to minimize business impact.

Inventory Control & Material Management

• andMonitor and optimize inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, solvents, packaging materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• and establish inventory norms, safety stock levels, reorder points, and inventory control mechanism and
• Identify and reduce excess, slow-moving, and non-moving inventories.
• Ensure uninterrupted availability of critical materials and manage shortages proactively. and Conduct inventory reviews, reconciliations, and stock accuracy improvement initiatives.

Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and

• Lead MRP activities and convert production plans into procurement
• requirements.

Supply Chain & Customer Coordination and

• Coordinate order fulllment activities and ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Liaise with Project Management and Commercial teams to align production plans with customer requirements.
• Monitor order book status and ensure timely order closure.
• Handle production shortages and communicate mitigation plans to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence .

• Drive inventory reduction and working capital optimization initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost optimization.
• Lead cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence.
• Improve planning accuracy, schedule adherence, and inventory turnover.
• Support sustainability initiatives through waste minimization and solvent recovery programs.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and quality requirements.
• Support customer, regulatory, and internal audits.
• Maintain accurate planning and inventory documentation.
• Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, and change control activities.

SAP & Production Systems

• Manage PPIC activities through SAP.
• Create and maintain:
• Material Masters
• BOMs
• Master Recipes
• Production/Process Orders
• Goods Receipt & Goods Issue Transactions and
• Generate MIS reports, inventory reports, and planning dashboards using SAP and Excel.
