PPC Manager will be responsible for leading and executing production planning and control strategies to ensure seamless manufacturing operations aligned with demand forecasts, quality standards, and cost targets. This role demands a strong focus on optimizing resource utilization, managing inventory levels, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Validating the ticket acceptance process.
- Finding out the bottleneck equipment based on the ticket.
- Validating mold, machine, and manpower utilization.
- Deciding the plant concurrencies.
- Forecasting raw material requirements based on the ticket and monitoring the impact of ticket changes.
- Preparing the manufacturing strategy for efficient utilization of equipment.
- Driving projects related to plant complexities.
- Forecasting risks and opportunities related to ticket compliances.
- Controlling the new tire development plan as per OTD requirements.
- Analyzing the gap between requirement and capacity.
- Maintaining the work-in-process inventory as per the desired target.
- Maintaining the absolute stock requirement as per the desired target.
- Preparing a ticket breakdown for each workstation based on daily customer requests.
- Balancing the quantity requirement at each workstation.
- Maintaining production concurrencies as per target to support the production process.
- Maintaining the expected standard of WIP inventory and aligning it with finance data.
- Auditing ticket compliance at each workstation and analyzing over/under production to support WIP standards.
- Ensuring production tickets are met as per quality, quantity, and cost targets.
- Ensuring optimum utilization of resources to support budgeted costs.
- Preparing the preventive maintenance plan for each workstation as per defined frequency.
- Ensuring preventive maintenance schedule compliance without affecting throughput.
- Ensuring the new tire development plan is executed as per schedule to meet OTD targets.
- Preparing production plan vs. actual data to forecast risks and opportunities.
- Preparing action plans to remedy deviations from planned or target output.
- Ensuring raw materials, finished goods, and WIP are maintained at optimum levels to support uninterrupted production.
- Ensuring effective utilization of IT systems like SAP, PMT, TV2, Data Host, Mazda, and CMS to analyze and support quality/production standards.
- Being responsible for Layered Process Audits.
- Ensuring day-to-day jobs are linked to environmental impact and compliance.
- Controlling environmental spillage, minimizing waste, and promoting recycling and reuse.
