Location: Ashoka University Campus, Sonipat, Haryana (Delhi-NCR)
Department: Office of Global Education
Reports To: Director, Office of Global Education
Role Type: Full-time
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Manager, Office of Global Education, you will own Ashoka's outgoing student mobility portfolio — semester exchange, summer study abroad, and other international programmes — end to end. You'll be the primary point of contact for students navigating these opportunities, and the key relationship-holder with partner universities. Working closely with academic departments, Finance, and Admissions, you'll run the annual mobility cycle and keep improving how it works. Within six months, you should be managing the full cycle and partner relationships independently.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Outgoing Mobility Programme Management
- Own and manage the end-to-end mobility cycle for semester exchange, summer study abroad, and other outgoing programmes, from planning and eligibility through to nominations, applications, and pre- and post-programme processes
- Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of Ashoka's mobility portfolio, including programme structures, timelines, and partner-specific requirements.
- Develop and maintain programme calendars, workflows, trackers, and SOPs, and monitor participation and outcomes to support planning and decision-making.
Student Advising & Mobility Experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students exploring or participating in mobility programmes, advising on options based on academic interests, eligibility, and individual circumstances.
- Guide students through university and course selection, applications, and pre-departure requirements, running individual and group advising sessions and orientations.
- Develop clear student-facing resources (FAQs, checklists, timelines) and manage complex student cases in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
International Partner Management
- Maintain regular communication with partner universities on exchange and summer programmes, managing nominations, applications, and partner-specific requirements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with international partners, serving as the key point of contact for outgoing mobility matters.
- Evaluate partner engagement, student demand, and programme outcomes to inform recommendations on strengthening the mobility portfolio.
- Coordinate with academic departments and faculty on course equivalencies, credit transfer, and academic requirements for students studying abroad.
- Coordinate financial-aid processes for mobility programmes, communicating eligibility, documentation, and timelines clearly to students.
Programme Development, Process Improvement & Data
- Review and improve existing processes to enhance operational efficiency and student experience, and maintain systems, databases, and documentation for mobility programmes.
- Analyse participation, demand, and outcome data to support planning, and identify opportunities to expand and diversify the mobility portfolio.
Institutional Engagement, Communications & Reporting
- Support partner visits, institutional meetings, and other engagement activities, and manage student-facing communications and outreach materials.
- Work collaboratively with academic departments, the Registrar's Office, Finance, Admissions, and other internal teams; support annual reporting and lead cross-functional projects as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Education, Higher Education, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in international education, student mobility, study abroad, or higher education administration; prior experience managing or coordinating exchange or study-abroad programmes strongly preferred.
- Experience working with international universities, education partners, or other global stakeholders, and advising or working directly with university students.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets and presentation tools, and comfort working with databases, student information systems, and online application portals.
Who You Are
- You manage a portfolio of overlapping deadlines and individual student cases without letting any one slip, moving fluidly between big-picture programme planning and detailed case tracking.
- You build genuine working relationships with international partner universities and internal teams alike, from faculty and the Registrar's Office to Finance and Admissions, translating between their different priorities.
- You treat every tracker, SOP, and FAQ as something to keep improving, spotting where a process is creating friction for students or partners and fixing it rather than working around it.
- You're energised by direct, ongoing contact with students navigating a major decision, and comfortable being the steady point of contact when a mobility case gets complicated.
