Job summary

The Standard India is seeking a Manager of Engineering, Test Data Management to lead and coach a dispersed team delivering robust test data solutions. You will work with digital delivery, product and architecture partners to drive effective engineering outcomes and champion best practices across the program.

This role requires on-site presence in Bengaluru with a hybrid model, guiding teams through agile ceremonies and continuous improvement while aligning with business goals and customer

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Manager of Engineering, Test Data Management to join our team! This innovator will be a player-coach who guides our test data management engineers in the practices and skills to support their teams delivering solutions to delight our customers. The Standard is on a multi-year program to modernize key applications and business systems to provide our customers with the service and peace of mind they expect. These programs are in flight now, and we are looking for an ideal candidate who is a thought leader, consensus builder and a strong player & coach and builder of teams.

Our team is distributed, which means you will need to be adept at managing remote contributors in multiple time zones. In this role, you will partner with digital delivery, product and architecture teams to understand problems and guide engineers toward effective solutions, using Agile & Lean practices; removing blockers and escalating issues when needed. Work alongside product owners, scrum facilitators, architects, and engineers – and cross-functional partners – to participate in program increment planning and ensure the delivery teams have the skills and capabilities to implement applications that impress our customers. Champion engineering best practices and drive adoption within the team, while simultaneously engaging stakeholders to gather input and improve engineering practices. Develop consistency in our processes to enable our engineers to deliver products with a focus on building excellence.

• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.

Mode of Working

This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment.

Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education

ABachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS is required.

Experience

6+ years of hands‑on digital delivery experience and 3+ years in a technical leadership role. Prior experience providing regular coaching, feedback, and career development through 1:1s.

• Strong passion for improving test data‑delivery practices and continuous optimization.
• Customer‑focused mindset with comfort conducting both code and performance reviews.
• Proven track record delivering high‑quality data and digital solutions using CI/CD.
• Deep experience in DevOps environments and Agile Scrum (SAFe preferred).
• Native cloud development, Databricks, PySpark and scripting experience preferred.
• IaaS/PaaS experience a plus, Full stack programing skills required.
• Prior experience with K2View is a huge plus.
• Prior experience in a GCC environment is highly preferred.
