Qualifications

  • BE/BTech or equivalent technical degree.

  • Strong knowledge of IMS, DISHA, ABEM and quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure IMS standards adherence and support internal audits and recertification.
  • Lead DISHA process audits and monitor KPI achievements across units.
  • Govern ABEM SOP adherence and coordinate with head office audits.
  • Coordinate 5S activities and audit planning with QA teams.
  • Manage maintenance and equipment classification to optimize uptime and spare parts usage.
  • Drive digitization and automation across O&M activities and processes.
  • Engage with internal Operations & Maintenance teams and external auditors.
  • Conduct RCA and FMEA for critical equipment and for unit-level UTA reviews.

Job Purpose: This role is responsible for driving business excellence and organization transformation through continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with IMS, DISHA, ABEM, and other quality frameworks through regular audits, training, and process management. Additionally, this role will also oversee equipment management strategies, optimize resource allocation, and maintain high standards of operational excellence in line with Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

Manager- MTP&OE (Planning)

Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and Audits:

Ensure adherence to the 9 standards as outlined in the IMS framework.

Facilitate communication for internal audits, collate observations, ensure timely closure of findings and manage the recertification process.

Organize and lead management review meetings to communicate audit findings and drive continuous improvement.

Coordinate refresher trainings for new joiners on IMS and provide auditor training as needed.

Oversee surveillance audits conducted by external auditors, such as TUV NORD, and ensure compliance with observations.

DISHA Process Management:

Ensure processes align with DISHA requirements and oversee adherence across operations and maintenance (O&M) teams.

Audit DISHA processes as documented in the 18 manuals, track compliance, and report KPI achievements to management.

Govern the accountability framework for DISHA processes and ensure robust implementation.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for critical equipment, and as needed for non-critical equipment.

Perform regular FMEA for defined equipment and RCA at the unit level for UTA.

ABEM and AWMS Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the ABEM framework.

Lead preparation for audits based on communications from the business excellence team at the head office, monitor and track the sustainment of ABEM practices within the assigned zone.

Facilitate 5S activities and ensure they are performed consistently.

Coordinate with the head office team for QC and 5S audits, acting as the SPOC for audit schedules, planning, and tracking.

Maintenance and Equipment Management:

Conduct periodic reviews of equipment classification to ensure accurate categorization.

Analyse critical inventory to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.

Maintain a clear distinction between critical and non-critical equipment for prioritized maintenance.

Business Sustainability:

Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, and CHETNA guidelines to ensure sustainable business practices.

Prioritize safety of personnel and equipment by enforcing training and adherence to safety protocols.

Drive initiatives for environmental sustainability and compliance with relevant regulations.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality management within the department.

Digitization and Automation:

Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

Implement process and system improvements by integrating new technologies and adoption of automation solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of digital initiatives.

Educational Qualification:

BE/B.tech or equivalent technical field.

Work Experience (Range of years):

12+ years of experience in quality management, process improvement, or a related field, with a proven track record in leading transformation initiatives.

Preferred Industry:

Experience in manufacturing, automotive, energy, or any industry with a strong focus on operational excellence and quality management systems.
