Job summary

Tazapay is expanding its cross-border payments platform from India, with a focus on licensing and international expansion.   • Must have 4–7 years of experience in a regulated environment (payments, banking, fintech or financial services) with exposure to regulators, compliance frameworks, or licensing processes.
  • Demonstrated programme or project management capability with cross-functional coordination and milestone delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to break down regulatory/operational challenges into actionable plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior audiences.
  • High stakeholder management aptitude, credible with senior internal and external counterparties.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end planning and execution for licensing and expansion workstreams in one or more countries.
  • Decompose licensing and expansion requirements into actionable functional, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Conduct gap analyses by back-testing licence and expansion conditions against current policies, processes, and systems.
  • Track and manage licence-related workstreams, ensuring cross-functional milestones are met ahead of go-live.
  • Coordinate operational readiness across onboarding, terms & conditions, outsourcing registers, regulatory reporting, safeguarding, payroll, taxes, and secretarial coverage.
  • Act as connective tissue between licensing team, country leads, compliance, and functional owners; escalate blockers early.

TazaPay is a trade management platform for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to conduct cross-border commerce safely.
It will bring together the best technologies and financial services that are only available to the large companies today and make them accessible to the SMBs.
We are trying to address the unmet needs of millions of exporters and importers who not have access to the essential tools for doing cross-border trade such as trade protections via escrow, currency hedging and finance
Lack of trust is one of the biggest inhibitors for B2B cross border business. Buyers and sellers tend to work only with known and trusted parties thereby limiting their business opportunities. Our platform will enable access to various services for doing cross-border trade safely - such as counterparty risk assessment, trade assurance and trade protections via escrow
Our goal is to enhance trust in the trade process so that SMBs feel confident about doing more business with overseas counterparties
Our platform is cloud-based and easy to use. Our mobile and web apps simplify and digitalize every step of the process. Using our cloud-based platform, the SMBs can do more business with trusted parties in a trusted and convenient manner.

Role Overview

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role in the COO’s office at Tazapay.As Manager - Licensing & International Expansion, you will drive expansion of Tazapay’s productsinternationally, formulate Tazapay’s licensing strategy across multiple markets and ownoperationalisation of licenses to build truly global payments infrastructure.We are looking for a sharp operator who has worked / interested to work at the intersection ofgrowth, licensing and execution.
You will work closely with COO, regulators, legal, compliance, finance, product, and operations totranslate requirements into an operational plan - from licensing application to launching the productin a new market.

Key Responsibilities
1. International Expansion and Licensing:
  • Own end-to-end planning and execution for licensing and expansion workstreams in one ormore countries
  • Decompose licensing and expansion requirements into actionable functional, technical, andoperational requirements.
  • Conduct gap analyses by back-testing licence and expansion conditions against currentpolicies, processes, and systems.
  • Track and manage licence-related workstreams, ensuring cross-functional milestones are metahead of entity go-live
  • Coordinate operational readiness across areas including: onboarding, terms & conditions,outsourcing registers, regulatory reporting, safeguarding, payroll, taxes, and secretarialcoverage
  • Act as the connective tissue between the licensing team, country leads, compliance, andfunctional owners - synthesising inputs and escalating blockers early
2. Program and Stakeholder Management
  • Prepare high-quality status reports, steering committee materials, and executive updates withclarity and precision
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Compliance,Product, Engineering, and Operations
  • Manage external partners including regulatory consultants, local counsel, corporatesecretaries, and system vendors
  • Communicate complex regulatory or operational requirements in clear, accessible language tonon-specialist audiences

What We are looking forMust Have:

  • Demonstrated programme or project management capability: managing workstreams,cross-functional coordination, and delivery against milestones
  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to break down complex regulatory or operationalproblems into structured, executable plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to distill complexity into crisp narratives forsenior audiences
  • High stakeholder management aptitude - credible with senior internal and externalcounterparties
Preferred:
  • Familiarity and exposure to Regulatory and Compliance frameworks
  • Engineering and/or management background from a reputed institute preferred
