Job summary

AXA XL in Gurgaon, India, is looking for a Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting (Reinsurance Financial Reporting). You will oversee quarterly reconciliations, analyze Segment Balance Sheet and Income Statement, and post journals related to IFRS 17, PYD, CAT & OLL.

Ideal candidates hold CA with PQE or MBA Finance, have strong analytical skills, and excel in MS Excel/PowerPoint. You will develop HFM reports, perform UAT, and contribute to IS & BS commentaries for the reinsurer segment,

Qualifications

• CA with relevant post-qualification experience or MBA Finance with FP&A/financial accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly reconciliations including FDM vs EFR vs HFM, Qlik Dashboards vs HFM reconciliation.
• Analyze Segment Balance Sheet and Income Statement for unreconciled items.
• Post journals related to expense accruals, IFRS 17, PYD, CAT & OLL.
• Extract queries from HFM/EFR and other systems and analyze.
• Develop HFM reports and perform UAT.
• IS & BS commentaries for the reinsurer segment and maintain process documentation.

What you’ll be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Responsible for preparing quarterly reconciliations which include FDM vs EFR vs HFM Reconciliation, Qlik Dashboards vs HFM reconciliation etc.
• Excellent accounting skills to analyze the Segment Balance Sheet and Income Statement for discussion and investigation into unreconciled or outstanding items.
• Prepare and Post journals related to Expense Accruals, IFRS 17, PYD, CAT & OLL etc.
• Responsible for extracting queries from HFM/EFR and various other systems and analyzing the same.
• Working knowledge of IFRS 17 & IFRS 4 accounting standards.
• Working knowledge of Magnitude Schedules.
• Working knowledge of operating expense includes actuals and accrual and provide commentaries.
• Assist in developing of HFM reports and performing UAT on the same.
• Assist in IS & BS commentaries for whole reisurance segment.
• Maintaining process documentation.
• Support Ad-hoc activities/projects.

You will report to Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting.

• Accounting and Analytical skills: CA with relevant years of post-qualification experience or MBA Finance with relevant years of experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting or Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Good analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should have excellent MS Excel/Power-point skills.
• Innovative and process improvement mindset.
