Job summary

Zinnia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team in delivering accurate GAAP financial statements, year-end processes, and strategic reporting. You will partner with FP&A and manage consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and equity rollforward.

With 8-10 years in public/private accounting and a CPA, you will drive footnotes, audit readiness, and process improvements, leveraging advanced Excel skills to support leadership with timely analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree; advanced degree a plus.
• CPA with Big 4 experience.
• 8-10 years of public and/or private accounting experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month/quarter/year-end financial statements, including cash flows for leadership reviews.
• Partner with FP&A in preparing and reviewing period end investor/leadership reporting.
• Perform financial data reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Perform consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
• Maintain and update equity rollforward and capitalization table for investor submissions.
• Collaborate with process owners to collect information for financial statement footnotes.
• Facilitate leadership review of the financial statements and address comments.
• Track open audit items and provide requested items for audit completion.
• Prepare annual GAAP checklist.
• Participate in audit process walkthroughs.
• Obtain details and prepare acquisition footnotes where applicable.
• Review P&L coding for proper presentation of costs.
• Prepare year-end going concern analysis and memo.
• Assist with internal ad-hoc reporting/requests.
