As a Manager – Financial Controller, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end controllership operations, including financial and statutory reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, audit management, internal controls, and team leadership.

You will partner closely with senior finance leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, process discipline, and scalable finance operations, while also driving automation and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end controllership operations including books of accounts, monthly/quarterly/year‑end close, reconciliations, and financial hygiene.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) operations, vendor reconciliations, payment controls, aging, and process efficiency.
  • Lead statutory, internal, tax, and IFC audits, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
  • Manage treasury operations, including cash flow planning, fund utilization, banking relationships, and working capital optimization.
  • Own direct and indirect tax compliance (Income Tax, GST, TDS, international taxes where applicable), assessments, filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and corporate compliance requirements, strengthening internal controls and SOPs.
  • Drive accurate revenue recognition in line with IND‑AS / IFRS, especially for digital, subscription, in‑app purchase, and international revenue streams.
  • Partner closely with Product, Tech, and Data teams to understand revenue mechanics, system flows, and reporting implications.
  • Support international business operations, including intercompany transactions, cross‑border compliance, forex exposure, and multi‑entity reporting.
  • Enable automation and system improvements across finance processes, working closely with ERP and tech teams.
  • Lead and mentor the controllership team, ensuring strong execution, ownership, and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in controllership, financial reporting, audit, tax, and compliance roles.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams within a controllership or finance function.
  • Experience in Product / Technology‑led companies, preferably gaming, consumer internet, or digital‑first businesses.
  • Exposure to international operations, global revenue models, and cross‑border compliance.
  • Strong understanding of digital revenue recognition, platform fees, and marketplace economics.
