Job summary

Autoliv's Cheyyar manufacturing plant seeks an experienced Assistant Finance Controller to join the finance team. You will support plant finance, accounting, reporting and business partnering to drive performance.

The role requires strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, costing, internal controls, and collaboration with operations. Hands-on, shop-floor oriented and capable of guiding plant teams on financial processes.

Qualifications

• CA/CWA/MBA Finance or Master’s degree in Finance required.
• 5–10 years of post-qualification experience in Finance.
• Hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing and controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and corporate standards.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management.
• Collaborate with plant operations and cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
• Guide plant teams on finance-related transactions and processes.
• Support the Finance Controller in day-to-day financial operations.
• Experience with HFM and OneStream reporting tools is preferred but not mandatory.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Controller to join our manufacturing plant in Cheyyar. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong expertise in plant finance, financial reporting, forecasting, compliance, and business partnering within a manufacturing environment.

As a key member of the finance team, you will support the Finance Controller in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, strengthening controls, and providing financial insights that enable business growth and operational excellence.
