Job summary

Unichem Laboratories in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead multi-site API and Formulation facilities. You will drive continuous improvement, energy conservation, and regulatory compliance while optimizing capital and operating expenditures.

Qualifications

• Experience in projects and engineering in a pharmaceutical organization.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliances and cGMP & GEP guidelines.
• Good communication, eye for detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Develop and implement uniform engineering strategies across locations to optimize operational performance and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Identify areas of energy conservation, plan, propose and drive Energy Conservation projects and initiatives.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance planning: align with site engineering plan to minimize breakdowns; ensure coherent preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Quality: exposure to Engineering Quality System, regulatory audits, self-inspections/audits.
• Budget: prepare annual Engineering Opex/Capex budget to meet corporate plan.
• Projects: manage greenfield and brownfield Capex projects across multi-site API & Formulation network per GEP standards.
• Performance: develop systems to monitor and optimize engineering resource utilization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Continuous Improvement process

- Maximize resource utilization and flexibility to minimize the energy, water & utility costs.

- Drive adoption of advanced technologies, automation, digitalization across sites.

• Maintenance

- Good knowledge of Corporate Engineering plan sync with site engineering plan to minimise the breakdowns.

- Preventive and corrective maintenance plan should have coherent, efficient to implement.

• Quality- Exposure to have Engineering Quality System, Faced Regulatory Audits, Participate in Self inspections / Audits.
• Budget -Preparation of annual Engineering Opex/Capex budget to meet the Corporate Business Plan.
• Project - Managing Project activities for greenfield and brownfield Capex projects across the multi-site of API & Formulation manufacturing network, ensuring adherence to GEP standards.
• Performance plan and Follow-up: Develop Systems and processes to monitor and optimize engineering resource utilization

DESIRED SKILLS
