Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Manager – Direct Sourcing (Commodity Operations) in Bangalore, India. You will lead a team, drive direct commodity sourcing initiatives, and partner with global stakeholders across Americas, Europe, and APAC.

The role requires 10–15 years in procurement, 3+ years of people leadership, and hands-on experience with SAP/Oracle/Ariba/Coupa. You will oversee NPI, Should Cost, analytics, and governance in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Procurement, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in procurement, sourcing operations, supply chain, or shared services.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.

• Lead and develop a team of sourcing and procurement analysts.
• Manage Direct Commodity sourcing operations and strategic initiatives.

Lead a team supporting Direct Commodity sourcing activities, improve process effectiveness, drive stakeholder satisfaction, and enable scalable CoE support for global sourcing organizations.

What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?

Lead daily operations, review sourcing support requests, manage team workload, engage stakeholders, track KPI performance, support NPI and Should Cost initiatives, drive process improvements, and participate in governance reviews.

• Drive SLA/KPI management and reporting
• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions and time zones
• Support governance reviews, audits, and compliance requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Procurement, or related field. Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in procurement, sourcing operations, supply chain, or shared services. Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct Commodity sourcing experience, NPI exposure, Should Cost methodology exposure, global shared services experience, Lean/Six Sigma certification, and experience supporting manufacturing organizations.

Systems & Tools

SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, JDE, Power BI, Excel, and other procurement and ERP platforms.
