Job Title: Technical Engineer - OPGW/Conventional Conductors
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineer to join our team, focusing on designing, analyzing, and developing technical specifications for Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS), and conventional conductors. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing technical documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Technical Documentation: Prepare data sheets, cross-sectional drawings, drum drawings, and technical specifications for OPGW, HTLS, and conventional conductors. Develop and maintain technical documentation for tenders, including raw material content and procurement requirements.
- Design and Analysis: Analyze and design conductors according to customer requirements, ensuring compliance with technical, electrical, and mechanical parameters aligned with industry standards (IEEE, IEC, EN, BS, AS, DIN, ASTM, ITU-T, and EIA/TIA). Utilize software like AutoCAD and PLS-CADD for designing and analyzing conductor systems, including SAG and tension analysis, stringing charts, and wire files.
- Client Collaboration: Handle domestic and export inquiries, responding to client queries and obtaining approval for technical specifications. Ensure timely preparation and submission of technical documents, including manufacturing data sheets.
- Manufacturing Support: Provide technical specifications and documentation to the plant manager for production, ensuring compliance with manufacturing requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in designing and analyzing electrical conductors, preferably OPGW, HTLS, and conventional conductors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and PLS-CADD software.
- Strong understanding of industry standards (IEEE, IEC, etc.) and technical requirements for conductor design and manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
