We are seeking individuals who have a passion for using data, analytics, and insights to drive decision-making to tackle some of the world's greatest health threats.

As a Manager, Data Visualization, you will design and develop compelling data visualization solutions to enable actionable insights and facilitate intuitive information consumption for internal business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will show competency in building user-centric visuals and dashboards that empower stakeholders with data-driven insights and decision-making capability.

Our Quantitative Sciences team uses big data to analyze safety and efficacy claims of potential medical breakthroughs. We review the quality and reliability of clinical studies using deep scientific knowledge, statistical analysis, and high-quality data to support decision-making in clinical trials.

What will you do in this role
  • Design and develop user-centric data visualization solutions utilizing complex data sources.
  • Identify and define key business metrics and KPIs in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Define and develop scalable data models in alignment with support from data engineering and IT teams.
  • Lead UI/UX workshops to develop user stories, wireframes, and intuitive visualizations.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, data science, and IT teams to deliver business-friendly dashboard and reporting solutions.
  • Apply best practices in data visualization design and continuously improve intuitive user experience for business stakeholders.
  • Provide thought leadership and data visualization best practices to the broader Data & Analytics organization.
  • Identify opportunities to apply data visualization technologies to streamline and enhance manual or legacy reporting deliveries.
  • Provide training and coaching to internal stakeholders to enable a self-service operating model.
  • Co-create information governance and apply data privacy best practices to solutions.
  • Continuously innovate on visualization best practices and technologies by reviewing external resources and marketplace.
What should you have
  • 5 years’ relevant experience in data visualization, infographics, and interactive visual storytelling
  • Working experience and knowledge in Power BI, QLIK, Spotfire, Tableau and other data visualization technologies
  • Working experience and knowledge in ETL processes, data modeling techniques and platforms (Alteryx, Informatica, Dataiku, etc.)
  • Experience working with database technologies (Redshift, Oracle, Snowflake, etc.) and data processing languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
  • Experience in leveraging and managing third party vendors and contractors
  • Self-motivation, proactivity, and ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to navigate a complex matrix environment and organize/prioritize work efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead with diverse groups of colleagues and positively manage ambiguity
  • Experience in Pharma and/or Biotech Industry is a plus
