Job summary

General Mills in Mumbai is seeking a Digital and Technology Manager – Global Data Governance Services to define and drive the global data governance technology roadmap, with a strong focus on data cataloging, lineage, analytics enablement, and AI readiness.

The role serves as a technical leader across enterprise teams, ensuring governance platforms, data flows, and integrations are scalable, compliant, and aligned to the company’s digital transformation strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in data governance, data cataloging, data lineage, and analytics platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL, data catalog tools (Alation), cloud data platforms (GCP preferred), and data lineage solutions.
• Experience with Collibra, data quality tools, Python, visualization tools, and enterprise integrations.
• Proven ability to influence across large organizations, lead complex initiatives, and drive change in ambiguous environments.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI adoption, master data management, SAP/non-SAP ecosystems, and retail domain processes preferred.

• Lead enterprise data lineage strategy, including source integration, gap identification, storage, and visualization.
• Govern catalog compliance programs, platform configuration, upgrades, and enhancements.

• Identify and enable AI/GenAI readiness across Master Data and Data Governance domains.
• Mentor teams on governance practices, AI use-case identification, and technical best practices.

The role serves as a technical leader and connector across enterprise teams, ensuring governance platforms, data flows, and integrations are scalable, compliant, and aligned to General Mills’ digital transformation strategy.

• Proficiency in SQL, data catalog tools (Alation), cloud data platforms (GCP preferred), and data lineage solutions.
• Experience with Collibra, data quality tools, Python, visualization tools, and enterprise integrations.
• Proven ability to influence across large organizations, lead complex initiatives, and drive change in ambiguous environments.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI adoption, master data management, SAP/non-SAP ecosystems, and retail domain processes preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise data governance tools such as Collibra and Alation.
• Exposure to data lineage, metadata management, and data quality frameworks in large-scale environments.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms, preferably GCP
• Familiarity with Python, visualization tools, and enterprise data integrations.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI use cases, master data management, and governance readiness initiatives.
• Experience working across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
