Job summary

Chryselys in Hyderabad, India is hiring a Manager - Data Engineering to lead enterprise-scale data initiatives for pharma clients. You will design scalable data pipelines, build data lakes and warehouses, and guide a team of data engineers, analysts and QA to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will work with Azure or AWS, Databricks, PySpark, Python, SQL and Redshift, own data modeling, data quality, MDM, and stakeholder management, with a strong client-facing delivery mindset.

Qualifications

• 7–13 years of total experience in data engineering
• Lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives for pharma clients
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines (batch & real-time)
• Build and optimize data lakes and data warehouses
• Data modeling (dimensional & normalized)
• Expertise in Git repository
• Interacting with clients to understand business requirements
• Designing data quality framework
• MDM fundamentals understanding
• Hands-on with orchestration tools (Airflow, Databricks workflows, etc.)
• Team Management: lead a team of data engineers/analysts/QA
• Stakeholder Management: collaborate with client teams

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities and Core Competencies:

• 7-13 years of strong total experience in data engineering with proven experience in leading enterprise-scale implementations
• Lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives for pharma clients
• Design and implementing scalable data pipelines (batch & real-time), ETL/ELT workflows
• Build and optimize data lakes and data warehouses
• Data modeling (dimensional & normalized)
• Expertise in Git repository
• Interacting with clients to understand the business requirements and deliver with best quality on time
• Designing data quality framework
• Understanding of MDM fundamentals
• Hands on experience in one of the orchestration tool (i.e., Airflow, Databricks workflows, step functions etc.)
• Team Management: Lead a team of data engineers, business analysts, quality engineers etc.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with client stakeholders, data scientists, and business teams to deliver the best quality
• Pharma or life science domain expertise in commercial functional area
• Expertise in commercial pharma data sources

Required Technical Skills:

• Hands-on sound experience in Azure or AWS, Databricks, Pyspark, Python, SQL, Redshift
• Expertise in Data Management, ETL/ELT
• Designing and implementing large scale pharma data platforms
• Client facing experience
• Project delivery and management
• Pharma domain experience in must
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good to Have:

• One of the reporting tool (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik etc.) exposure
