Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. seeks a seasoned Lead Data Scientist to steer data analytics initiatives in Bangalore.

You will design, deploy and optimize ML models, partner with product, engineering and business teams, and drive data-driven decision making at executive levels. The role requires 5–8 years in data science, strong ML and statistical skills, and hands-on experience with SQL, Python/Java, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in data science or related fields.
• Proven experience leading data science projects from inception to delivery with business impact.
• Expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Java, with data manipulation and analysis libraries; expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and MLops.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our team at LMM PD, with a proven track record of leading successful data science projects and teams. Selected candidate will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of advanced data analytics solutions to solve complex business problems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables
• Develop and Execute technical strategies and progress updates to stakeholders and executive leadership
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and evaluate their potential impact on our business
• Lead the evaluation of new AI tools, frameworks, and methodologies, advocating for the adoption of technologies that align with our strategic goals
• Capable of translating business problem statement into machine learning problem statement
• Design e2e analytics pipeline

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and/or Java, along with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries, and expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, AWS(Lambda,ECS,Superset), and MLops
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Experience in predictive analytics within the automobile domain is a plus
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is a plus
• Experience in Data engineering and Data visualization platforms is a plus
• Experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS Cloud is a plus
