Job summary

M&G India is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to lead Azure infrastructure design, governance, and automation. You will implement IaC, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices to enable reliable multi-cloud hosting and scalable deployments.

The role requires strong leadership and collaboration across security, applications, and operations teams. With 5+ years of relevant experience, you will guide Agile teams, optimize cloud costs, and advance cloud-native tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership in Azure IaaS and PaaS.
• Expertise in CI/CD with Azure DevOps and pipeline automation.
• Hands-on with Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, ARO, Helm).
• Proven ability to design and enforce Azure governance & RBAC models.
• Working knowledge of network security concepts (Firewalls, NSGs, Palo Alto).
• Strong communications skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in Agile/DevOps environments and resolve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Champion automation-first approaches via Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive adoption of modern DevOps and GitOps practices for seamless deployments.
• Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Establish and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for builds, releases, and deployments.
• Define and implement cloud governance, cost optimization, RBAC, and compliance at scale.
• Oversee Kubernetes/ARO platforms, containers, registries, and related services.
• Guide teams in Agile frameworks and tools like Jira/Confluence.
• Support development teams with scripting, APIs, and automation to accelerate delivery.
• Promote knowledge sharing and cloud community of practice within M&G.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and deliver complex Azure infrastructure and platform solutions ensuring security, compliance, and governance best practices are consistently applied.

• Champion automation-first approaches through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Drive adoption of modern DevOps andGitOpspractices, enabling seamless deployments and platform consistency across environments.

• Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.

• Oversee Kubernetes / ARO platforms, containers, registries, and related services to enable modern application hosting.

• Guide teams in the use of Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as Jira/Confluence.

• Support development teams with scripting, APIs, and automation to accelerate delivery.

• Promote knowledge sharing, provide mentorship, and drive cloud community of practice within M&G.

Required

• Strong leadership in Azure IaaS and PaaS (VMs, Networking, Storage, SQL DB, App Services, Monitoring).

• Expertisein CI/CD with Azure DevOps and pipeline automation.

• Hands-on with Terraform, ARM templates, Ansibleand PowerShell scripting.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, ARO, Helm).

• Proven ability to design and enforce Azure governance & RBAC models.

• Working knowledge of network security concepts (Firewalls, NSGs, Palo Alto preferred).

Desired

• Experience in Linux/Windows OS administration.

• Programming experience in Python or JavaScript.

• Hands-on withapplication monitoring and APM suites.

• Exposure toPower Platform and Power BI.

• Familiarity withFinOps practicesfor cloud cost governance.

• Leverage AI tools whereverappropriate toimprove productivity

• Proficient in monitoring tools such as SonarQube and ELK/Kibana.

Experience:

Minimum5+years of relevant experience as a cloud engineerwho canshowcaseworking independently and along with the team.

EducationalQualification:

• Graduate/Masters in any discipline

• Cloud certifications would be an added advantage
