Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a Manager Costing & MIS at our Baramati location. The role focuses on product costing, profitability analysis, and MIS reporting to drive cost optimization and financial oversight.

You will lead a team responsible for costing, budget adherence, and data-driven decision support. Ideal candidates hold CMA/ICWA qualifications with hands-on experience in costing, inventory valuation, cost audits, and ERP systems such as SAP and S/4 HANA.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA/ICWA qualification.
• Experience in costing and MIS functions.
• Familiarity with SAP and S/4 HANA systems.

Responsibilities

• Costing & Product Profitability: develop product cost sheets and analyze variances.
• Inventory Costing & Control: valuate inventories and reconcile stock records.
• Cost Audit & Compliance: assist in CAS-4 certification and audits.
• Reporting & MIS: prepare monthly plant profitability reports and management MIS.
• Business Financial Operations: participate in budgeting, pricing analysis and cost controls.
• Team Leadership: lead and mentor the costing team and provide budgeting training.

Responsibilities

Costing & Product Profitability

• Product costing, standard vs actual variance analysis, and profitability reporting
• Preparation of product-wise cost sheets for tenders and management review
• Identify loss-making products and drive cost optimization

Inventory Costing & Control

• Monthly inventory valuation of RM, PM, WIP, FG
• Physical stock verification, reconciliation, and material balancing
• Inventory ageing, re-order level, yield, and input-output analysis

Cost Audit & Compliance

• Cost Audit data preparation, CAS-4 certification, PAPA, quantity reconciliation
• Coordination with Cost Auditor and Financial Auditor

Reporting & MIS

• Monthly plant profitability reports, forecasts, and projections
• Labour, material, overhead variance analysis
• Budget vs Actual analysis (domestic and export)
• MIS reports for management and CEO

Business Financial Operations

• Budget review, pricing analysis, and cost proposal validation
• Ensure adherence to approved budgets and cost control practices

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the costing team
• Training on budgeting and pricing practices
