Job summary

Orkla India Ltd. is seeking a Manager Costing & Pricing to oversee cost structures and pricing strategies that ensure accurate costing, competitive pricing, and profitable growth.

You will analyse cost data, build pricing models, and support budgeting and forecasting while collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Finance to drive informed pricing decisions. Expertise in costing, pricing, and SAP CO is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience with 4+ years in costing/pricing.
• Professional CMA/Cost Accountant designation preferred.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost structures and pricing strategies for accurate costing and sustainable profitability.
• Prepare and analyze cost data, develop pricing models and quotations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost controls in collaboration with Sales, Operations and Finance teams.
• Ensure timely price master maintenance and margin analysis across categories and channels.
• Lead pricing changes due to tax, scheme updates or cost changes and drive cost reduction projects.

Role & responsibilities

The Manager Costing & Pricing is responsible for managing cost structures and pricing strategies to ensure accurate costing, competitive pricing, and sustainable profitability. The role involves preparing and analysing cost data, developing pricing models and quotations, supporting budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cost drivers and market trends, and collaborating with sales, operations, and finance teams to support informed pricing decisions while ensuring compliance with financial policies and controls

Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)

• Management of Scheme, Scheme MIS, Offers etc
• What IF analysis for Margin basis different business scenarios
• Managing and ensuring Annual MRP revision across categories and zones
• Support to Marketing & Sales team with analytics for various strategic decisions
• Support in achievement & maintenance of Margins across categories and channels
• Ensuring timely and accurate Pricing as per request for Domestic and Export
• New ideas and innovation in costing/pricing
• Scheme Management and offer costing.
• Costing, Pricing & Margin/Profitability Analysis Work
• Proactive approach in ensuring accurate and timely Price Master Maintenance
• Managing & coordinating Cost audit
• Taking lead role for change in pricing analysis & correction due to key changes - be it taxes or cost, schemes, offers
• SAP CO module related works
• Internal Financial controls testing and developing Risk Control Matrix
• Preparationof Trade Scheme workings. Scheme management, MIS to zones.
• MIS on profitability, Margins analysis.
• Margin workings for New product developments/renovations, Institutional pricing etc
• Offers/liquidation impact workings, change in sales mix/volume impact on margin analytics. Price off workings impact etc.
• Preparation of P &L for various business channels.
• Ensuring Pre-month and month end cost run and related analysis.
• SKUs rationalisation workings
• Margin movement analysis through realisation / RM & others cost analysis.
• Ability to working in Cross Functional team on Costing and Pricing Special projects.
• Internal financial control testing, maintenance of Risk control matrix
• Unconditional support to the team in critical area of work.
• Participate in Cost reduction projects with Factory Finance team

Preferred candidate profile

• Cost Accountant.CMA
• At least 6+ years of accounting experience with 4+ yrs of Costing/Pricing
