Job summary

Motilal Oswal Financial Services (MOFSL) in Mumbai seeks an experienced Corporate Communications professional to lead media relations, investor communications and leadership messaging.

You will manage day-to-day media relationships, craft press materials, coordinate with asset management and private markets teams, and drive digital amplification while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, financial PR or media relations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing media relationships independently and delivering proactive coverage.
• Good understanding of financial markets and investment products.
• Exposure to regulated-industry communication and working with compliance teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with business, financial, markets, investment and personal finance journalists.
• Coordinate media interactions around business announcements, results, product launches, fund milestones and events.
• Support positioning of leadership and executives as credible voices in their areas.
• Amplify media coverage through digital and social channels and relevant financial platforms.
• Coordinate internal communication around key business developments and Group initiatives.
• Track media coverage, share of voice, sentiment and message pull-through; prepare regular reports.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Media Relations

• - Manage day-to-day relationships with business, financial, markets, investment and personal finance journalists.
• - Handle media queries, interview requests and information requirements in coordination with relevant business teams.
• - Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media across print, digital, television and wire services.
• - Proactively pitch relevant business stories, leadership perspectives and industry themes.
• - Coordinate media interactions around business announcements, results, product launches, fund milestones and events.
• - Track media coverage and ensure timely follow-up and amplification.

2. Asset Management / Private Markets Communication

• - Work closely with Asset Management, Alternatives, Private Wealth and other investment-led businesses to understand their businesses, products and key developments.
• - Identify communication opportunities around investment themes, market trends, funds, transactions, business performance and milestones.
• - Support positioning of investment professionals and business leaders as credible voices in their respective areas.
• - Stay abreast of developments across capital markets, mutual funds, alternatives, private markets and the broader investment ecosystem.

3. Leadership Communication

• - Support media positioning of senior executives and business heads.
• - Prepare executives for interviews, panels, podcasts and other media interactions.
• - Develop briefing documents, talking points and Q&As for leadership engagements.
• - Identify relevant media and industry platforms for leadership visibility.

4. Digital PR & Social Amplification

• - Work with digital and social teams to amplify media coverage, leadership commentary and thought leadership.
• - Identify opportunities across digital publications, newsletters, podcasts and relevant financial platforms.
• - Support development of content for LinkedIn and other owned communication channels.

5. Internal Communication

• - Support internal communication around key business developments, achievements, media milestones and Group initiatives.
• - Coordinate with internal communication teams to ensure important external developments are appropriately communicated internally.

6. Reporting & Measurement

• - Track media coverage, quality of visibility, share of voice, sentiment and message pull-through.
• - Prepare regular media and communication reports.
• - Maintain media databases, relationship trackers and coverage records.
• - Provide insights from media trends and journalist conversations to the wider Corporate Communication team.

Role Requirements

Skills Required

• - 810 years of experience in corporate communications, financial PR or media relations.
• - Preferably from Asset Management, Private Equity, Alternatives, Wealth Management or an investment-focused financial services organization.
• - Strong experience in dealing with business and financial media.
• - Experience managing media relationships independently and delivering proactive coverage.
• - Good understanding of financial markets, investment products and the financial services ecosystem.
• - Exposure to regulated-industry communication and working with compliance teams is preferred
• - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• - Hands-on and execution-oriented, with the ability to take ownership rather than wait for direction
• - Ability to write clear, sharp and media-friendly content.
• - Good understanding of markets, investments and financial terminology.
• - Strong media relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• - Ability to independently manage multiple communication requirements and deadlines.
