Job summary

Allana Group seeks a seasoned leader to head integrated compensation, benefits and payroll. You will align market competitiveness with internal equity, supervise payroll governance, and deliver analytics-driven reward programs across locations.

You will partner with CHRO, Finance and business leaders to translate people strategies into robust governance, cost discipline and experience. MBA HR required with 8–10 years in rewards/payroll.

Job description

Purpose : Lead the integrated Compensation, Benefits and Payroll function to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, cost discipline, employee experience, payroll accuracy and statutory compliance. The role partners with HR and business leaders to translate people and business priorities into effective reward programs, robust payroll governance and actionable analytics.

Experience Required : 8-10 years

Education : MBA HR

Job Responsibilities :

A. Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Develop and periodically review compensation philosophy, pay grades, salary structures, job architecture and market positioning.
  • Lead annual compensation review, merit/promotion cycles, CTC planning and budget modelling in partnership with HR and Finance.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and prepare recommendations on ranges, positioning, critical talent and retention cases.
  • Design and govern variable pay, performance incentives, retention and special reward programs with clear eligibility and approval controls.
  • Conduct periodic pay-equity analysis and recommend corrective actions; advise on offers, promotions, internal movements and retention.

B. Payroll, Compliance & Controls

  • Own end-to-end payroll governance across locations/entities, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing.
  • Establish payroll calendars, input validation, maker-checker controls, reconciliations, exception management and sign-offs.
  • Ensure applicable payroll, tax, social-security and employment statutory compliance, including timely filings/remittances.
  • Coordinate payroll accounting, provisions, reconciliations, cost-centre allocations and interfaces with Finance/Tax.
  • Lead internal/external payroll audits, track observations and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Manage company and statutory benefits; review utilization, competitiveness, employee feedback and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead benefits renewals, vendor evaluation, SLA governance and service-quality improvement.
  • Build compensation/payroll dashboards covering headcount cost, compa-ratio, salary positioning, merit budgets, variable pay, payroll accuracy and pay equity.
  • Use scenario modelling and data insights to support hiring, retention, organisation changes, annual budgeting and reward decisions.
  • Own functional governance of compensation/payroll modules in HRIS/ERP; drive data integrity, automation, testing, workflow and process improvement.

E. Data Privacy, Team & Stakeholders

  • Safeguard sensitive compensation and payroll information and support compliance with DPDP 2023 and applicable data-protection requirements.
  • Lead, coach and develop the team; manage payroll/benefit partners against defined SLAs, controls and service standards.
  • Partner with CHRO/Head HR, HRBPs, Finance, Tax, Legal, IT/HRIS, Talent Acquisition, business leaders, auditors and vendors.
