About the Role
The ideal candidate will lead the creation, development, management and implementation of MEE internal communication, publications, web, media and outreach activities. The position reports to the Vice President – Marketing and includes project management, media relations, consumer relations and social media. The role builds and protects the company's corporate reputation, reinforces key business growth strategies and supports the CEO of MEE.
The role requires someone who is a self‑starter, passionate, proactive, strategic, highly organized with attention to detail and follow through, and eager to work in a fast‑paced, challenging and deadline‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Branding & Marketing with planning and execution of multiple high‑level projects to build awareness for MEE before business, financial and trade media, individual investors and other key stakeholders.
- Develop short‑ and long‑term plans and budgets in concurrence with VP, Marketing for the communications and public relations program and its activities, monitoring progress, assuring adherence and evaluating performance.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with analysts, institutional investors, retail brokers, financial journalists and regulators and be prime point of contact for them.
- Assist with planning and managing the annual investor relations event calendar, including investor conferences and road shows, the annual shareholder meeting, and investor outreach.
- Facilitate multiple Pan India media requests on a daily basis and assist with materials related to answering media inquiries, responding to local market requests, preparing for high‑profile interviews, speaking engagements, writing news releases, speeches and messaging materials, corporate announcements, etc.
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills including writing press materials, executive media materials, website copy and social media content.
- Draft and publish content for MEE’s internal and external news channels.
- Manage MEE's reputation via daily, real‑time news, keeping an update of product and industry news and alert key stakeholders. Proactively identify new opportunities for executive leadership interviews, speaking opportunities and franchisee stories.
- Manage key projects, company surveys, communications research, editorial calendars, consumer affairs letters, media clips and other incoming requests on a daily basis alongside working effectively on cross‑functional teams and proactively seeking, sharing and leveraging PR, social media, industry and Fortune 500 best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: BA, preferred in PR, Communications, Journalism or Marketing.
- Experience: 5–7 years of communication & public affairs experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media, including monitoring and corporate communications on Facebook, Twitter and other properties.
- Willingness and desire to collaborate with others, lead projects, take accountability and direction, and learn.
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, act quickly and must be detail oriented.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Desire to work in fast‑paced, challenging and deadline‑oriented environment.
