Job summary

ReNew is seeking a Production Engineer to manage the assigned cluster's operations, focusing on production, quality, safety, and cost targets. You will work with the shift engineer to drive delivery and KPI attainment, while applying Lean tools to reduce cost and improve processes.

You will lead the team in daily shifts, oversee engineering changes, and push for continuous improvements in yield and throughput to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Wet Chemistry production & equipments from supplier like SC China, RENA, Schmid & Kingenious for Texturing, Polishing, Cleaning etc.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily/monthly production targets and projects for the cluster.
• Maintain discipline and order on the line; report violations.
• Deliver shift briefs focusing on quality, cost and delivery; gather improvement ideas.
• Close actions related to safety or product loss.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal audits.
• Monitor and improve performance of cluster operators and shift engineers.
• Lead daily shift activities and communicate with senior staff and operators.
• Implement engineering changes, production trials, and model changes.
• Take immediate actions during shift to resolve safety issues.
• Train and develop team members and operators.
• Address customer concerns; identify root causes and fix them.
• Analyze MIS reports and discuss with the team for improvements.
• Hold daily meetings with cluster team members.
• Drive continuous improvements in yield, throughput and cost reduction.
• Address customer complaints promptly; stay updated on new solar cell processes.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the operation of the assigned cluster w.r.t production, quality, safety, cost, delivery etc. Manage all aspects of work with collaborating with the shift engineer for delivery and exceeding the KPI indicators within operation. Strive to continuously improve using Lean tools to reduce cost, improve production & quality. Decision & results have an impact on its function & its result.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Monitor its cluster daily/monthly production targets & projects.
• Maintaining the discipline and order on the line and providing feedback to Shift Manager/production HOD on any violation of regulations
• Communicate with your team members; delivering shift briefs with focus on quality, cost and delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement.
• Close all actions if any issues related to safety, Product loss is noted.
• Ensure all external and internal auditory standards as per company requirements.
• Monitoring, controlling & recognizing the performance of own cluster operators & Shift engineer.
• Leading the daily shift activity, it’s briefing to the seniors & carry out the communication with operators as required
• Manage the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change
• Taking immediate actions during shift to close off any issues related to safety.
• Training & Developing of team members/Operators.
• Lead focus on customer concerns. Identify and eliminate with its root cause .
• Analyze own cluster MIS report and discuss reports with your team-members with improvements.
• Daily meeting with your cluster team members.
• Continuous Improvement in yield, Throughput & drive cost reduction projects
• Response & Ensuring actions against Customer Complaints
• Keep up-to-date on new external developments on solar cell processes

• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Wet Chemistry production & equipments from supplier like SC China, RENA, Schmid & Kingenious for Texturing, Polishing, Cleaning etc.

Or

Thermal / LDSE / LCO

• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Thermal production and equipment’s from suppliers like SC China & Centrotherm for Diffusion / Annealing / Oxidation / PECVD etc.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Laser production and equipments from suppliers like Maxwell, DR Laser & Innolas for Laser Doped Selective Emitter & Laser Contact Opening.

Or

Metallization

• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Metallization line production & equipments from supplier like AMAT, Maxwell & ASYS for Metallization / Firing / LID Regenerator / IV & EL Tester
• Ability to sustain and develop team working and team based problem solving.
• Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles.
• Knowledge about Six Sigma Methodologies, Kaizen, QC tools.
• Good presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good Knowledge about MS-word , Excel.
