Job summary

Terra91 in Bengaluru, India seeks a CA/CWA with 4-6+ years in business finance and treasury to lead end-to-end finance, working capital and risk controls as the company scales its global commodity marketplace. You will partner with commercial and operations teams on pricing, credit, and funding, and drive governance and MIS.

Qualifications

• CA / CWA qualification is required.
• 4-6+ years of experience in business finance / treasury.
• Experience in non-ferrous metals and commodities trading is preferred.
• Strong exposure to trade finance & structured working capital.
• Knowledge of import/export transactions and commodity pricing/hedging.
• High commercial acumen with emphasis on risk and controls.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams on deal structuring, pricing, margins, and credit evaluation for non-ferrous metal transactions.
• Own end-to-end working capital planning including inventory days, receivables, payables, and cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee price risk management, hedging, and mark-to-market monitoring.
• Drive monthly MIS, cash flow statements, and management dashboards; ensure audit readiness.
• Build scalable finance processes and mentor the finance team as Terra91 grows.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Business & Commercial Finance

• Partner with business teams on deal structuring, pricing, margins, and credit evaluation for non-ferrous metal transactions (Aluminum, Zinc, etc.).
• Ensure profitability tracking at product, customer, and transaction level.
• Build and monitor contribution margins, landed cost models, and customer-wise P&Ls.
• Support new business models such as vendor financing, JIT inventory, and customer-linked procurement structures.

2. Working Capital & Treasury Management

• Own end-to-end working capital planning including inventory days, receivables, payables, and cash flow forecasting.
• Drive off-balance sheet and structured financing solutions such as:
  -Supplier credit
  -LC / SBLC structures
  -Channel financing
  - Insurance-backed credit
  -Customer-led financing programs
• Optimize utilization of limits and reduce cost of funds.
• Track arbitrage opportunities & lead the arb P&L

3. Commodity Risk & Compliance

• Oversee price risk management including LME exposure, back-to-back hedging discipline, and mark-to-market monitoring.
• Ensure robust controls to prevent:
  -Open price exposure
  - Double financing
  -Inventory & receivable mismatches
• Work closely with operations and risk teams to strengthen internal controls.
• Track arbitrage opportunities & lead the arb P&L

4. Financial Reporting & Controls

• Ensure timely and accurate:
  -Monthly MIS
  -Cash flow statements -Management dashboards
• Drive strong internal controls, SOPs, and audit readiness.

Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and consultants.

5. Strategy & Scale-Up Support

• Build scalable finance processes as Terra91 grows volumes and geographies.
• Mentor and build a high-quality business finance team.

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• CA / CWA
• 4 - 6+ years of experience in business finance / treasury within:

• -Non--ferrous metals
• -Commodities trading.
• -Large industrial or trading houses

• Strong exposure to:Trade finance & structured working capital, Import/export transactions & Commodity pricing and hedging
• High commercial acumen with strong attention to risk and controls.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
