Job summary

M&G India in Mumbai is seeking a Finance Operations professional to handle daily accounting tasks and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance within a global group. You will work closely with treasury, accounting and operations teams to support reliable financial reporting.

The role emphasizes control, process improvements, and timely execution of cash movements and bank interactions, contributing to the overall integrity of financial data in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Completion of daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintenance of accurate accounting records.
• Review of cash balance monitoring and regulatory funds.
• Manage settlement of intercompany balances.
• Collation and input of electronic bank transfers.
• Adherence to regulatory rules and internal controls.
• Administration of new bank account set-ups.
• Maintain signatories and mandates of bank accounts.
• Deliver quality service and product to customers and stakeholders.
• Support delivery of projects – business requirements, testing and implementation.
• Focus on quality of delivery to achieve outputs within guidelines and precedent.
• Demonstrates positive risk, compliance and control culture in the business area.

• Completion of daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintenance of accurate accounting records
• Review of Cash balance monitoring, management of foreign currency balances, monitoring regulatory own funds cash requirements. and weekly reporting in accordance with internal policies
• Manage settlement of intercompany balances
• Collation and input of electronic bank transfers through the relevant banking systems
• Adherence to CASS rules through monitoring and reconciliation of Client Money accounts (if required)
• Administration of new bank account set-ups
• Maintain signatories and mandates of existing bank accounts
• Accountable for delivering a quality service and product to customers and stakeholders
• Support delivery of projects – business requirements, testing and implementation
• Focuses on quality of delivery to achieve clear outputs within guidelines and precedent
• Runs the organisation's processes and systems following pre-defined procedures
• Adapts to change, responds with initiative and make suggestions for improvements to own work and processes
• To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise.
