Job summary

Growth Heist in Bengaluru seeks an AI-first Automation Manager to own end-to-end automation of repetitive e-commerce and operational workflows. You will build, iterate, and scale workflows by working hands-on with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) alongside Google Apps Script, Sheets, and lightweight scripting.

You will lead automation for bulk listing uploads, catalog syncs, inventory updates, and MIS reporting, partnering with senior leadership to remove bottlenecks and deliver reliable, extensible

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on experience in automation, operations, or technical analyst roles.
• Strong scripting experience (Google Apps Script, Python, Excel/VBA, or similar).
• Working knowledge of APIs or willingness to learn quickly.

• E-Commerce Syncing: bulk product uploads, catalog updates, and real-time pricing/inventory syncing to Shopify.

The Role

This is an AI-first leadership role. As the Automation Manager, you will own the end-to-end automation of repetitive e-commerce and operational workflows—including bulk listing uploads, catalog syncs, inventory updates, and MIS reporting.

You will not just be executing a fixed spec; you will be directly building, iterating, and scaling workflows by working hands‑on with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) alongside Google Apps Script, Sheets, and lightweight scripting.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-Driven Development: Utilize advanced AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow to design, build, and debug operational automations.
• E-Commerce Syncing: Build and maintain robust automations for bulk product uploads, catalog updates, and real-time price/inventory syncing to our storefront (Shopify).
• Reporting Automation: Automate recurring MIS and reporting tasks (sales data, inventory health, listing turnaround times) using a combination of Sheets, Apps Script, and AI-assisted scripting.
• Workflow Optimization: Partner directly with senior leadership to identify manual bottlenecks and transform them into scalable, automated processes with rapid iteration cycles.
• Code Quality & Maintenance: Maintain clean, modular, and well-structured code (OOP-based) ensuring that all automations are highly extensible, easy to debug, and simple to hand off.
• System Reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures immediately to ensure zero downtime for listings and operations. Document all logic and train the operations team on basic usage.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: B.Tech / Engineering degree from a Top-20 engineering college in India.
• Experience: 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in automation, operations, or technical analyst roles.
• Technical Skills: Strong, hands‑on scripting experience (Google Apps Script, Python, Excel/VBA, or similar). Working knowledge of APIs (or a high willingness to learn quickly).
• AI Proficiency: Active, daily user of AI tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) to write, debug, and structure code. Note: Candidates will be evaluated on their comfort and efficiency using AI to solve problems.
• Analytical Mindset: Exceptional quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and a high bias for action.
