Job summary

HypTechie in Mumbai seeks a senior Manager – Audit & Regulatory Compliance to lead Credit Risk initiatives, ensure IFRS 9 and Ind AS 109 compliance, and strengthen regulatory reporting controls.

You will own ECL modeling, LGD and PD computations, coordinate with statutory auditors and regulators, and drive provisioning and NPA related processes with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• CA with 10–15 years in credit risk in financial institutions or banks.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS 9 and Ind AS 109.
• Hands-on experience with regulatory reporting to RBI/NHB.
• Experience with ECL, LGD, PD modelling and automation.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Credit Risk Modeling: develop models/tools to estimate collectability, loan loss, and LGD under Ind AS 109.
• Regulatory Compliance: apply RBI/NHB circulars; ensure timely regulatory reporting to NHB/RBI.
• ECL Computation: automate modules for ECL, LGD, and PD computations.
• Statutory & Internal Audits: coordinate with statutory auditors, regulators, and internal departments for audits and controls.
• Provisioning & NPA: handle provisioning and NPA computations and related compliance requirements.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced professional to join our Credit Risk team as Manager – Audit & Regulatory Compliance. The role is critical in ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines, supporting audit processes, and developing robust models and tools for credit loss estimation. The ideal candidate must have deep domain knowledge of Credit Risk, IFRS 9, Ind AS 109, and regulatory reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit Risk Modeling: Assist in the development of models/tools to estimate collectability, loan loss, and Loss Given Default (LGD) under Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS 109).
• Regulatory Compliance: Interpret and apply RBI/NHB circulars and guidelines; ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting to NHB/RBI.
• ECL Computation: Collaborate with IT teams to automate modules for Expected Credit Loss (ECL), LGD, and Probability of Default (PD) computations.
• Statutory & Internal Audits: Coordinate with statutory auditors, regulators, and internal departments for audits, controls, and related documentation.
• Provisioning & NPA: Handle assignments related to NPA computation, provisioning, and related compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in a Credit Risk function within a Financial Institution or Bank
• Hands‑on experience with ECL under IFRS 9, regulatory reporting, and interaction with statutory auditors/regulators
• Strong understanding of Ind AS 109, RBI/NHB norms, and internal audit procedures
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
