Job summary

BDO India is seeking a CA-qualified Assurance professional with 4+ years of experience to lead audit engagements on-site in Hyderabad. You will supervise teams, review audit work papers, and ensure compliance with Ind AS and firm policies.

Strong English communication and client coordination skills are essential to manage stakeholders and deliver quality services. The role requires on-site engagement, supervision of article staff, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet delivery

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of assurance and accounting standards, including Ind AS.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements end to end and supervise team members.
• Prepare and review audit work papers ensuring regulatory and Firm policy compliance.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead teams and audit engagements end to end. Handle areas and work allocated including testing and relevant audit procedures.
• Prepare and review audit work papers and ensure compliance with firms policies and procedures and also regulatory requirements.
• Act as a SPOC for the team with the client. Manage and supervise team members including article staff.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams including client personnel for information/ data
• Support the team on standardization of processes, documentation, analysis of technical issues, and research solutions.
• Participate in meeting with various teams, and contribute for the areas and responsibilities handled.
• Understanding business & industry issues / trends. Ensuring timely delivery as per the defined timelines.
• Ensuring compliance with engagement plans, internal quality & risk management procedures. Should demonstrate knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and keep up to date with new pronouncements relating to Ind AS.
• Ownership and accountability of delivering all aspects of the audit engagement, from start to finish. Be responsible to front end and manage the internal and external quality review process for respective engagements and deliverables.
• Collaborate with teams including with experts and specialists involved in supporting delivery of audit engagements.
• Responsible for the operational matters including, billing, collections, efficiency and optimal utilisation of efforts and resources, monitoring engagement budgets, etc.
• Proactively taking up full responsibility of engagement deliverables.
• Support the Engagement Partner in managing communications, preparing and reviewing deliverables, discussions with stakeholders including boards, audit committees, etc
• Coach and mange team members including facilitating on the job training.
• Participate and undertake trainings and training programs both technical and non technical topics
• Contribute to firm and practice related matters for the location and also national initiatives.
• Participate and contribute towards business development initiatives including pursuits and opportunities.

Qualification- CA

Preferred candidate profile

• 4+ years of experience into Assurance
• Should have strong proficiency in English both written and oral.
• Should possess excellent knowledge of assurance
• Should possess excellent knowledge of accounting standards, including and specifically Ind AS.
• Should have strong proficiency of using excel and spreadsheets.
• Have good understanding of concepts around accounting and assurance, including familiarity with financial statements.
• Relevant articleship experience - primarily and substantially be in assurance
• Have experience of working on site and performing assurance, including client and team management experience.
• Have experience of reviewing financial statements, reports, etc
• Have knowledge and experience of assurance documentation, preparing and completing audit work papers etc.
