RTX is seeking an Engineering Manager for AI Enablement and Automation to lead AI/ML and software engineering teams, translating business needs into scalable solutions from ideation to deployment.

You will balance people leadership with technical depth, drive the AI roadmap, and collaborate with global teams to deliver measurable outcomes and adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related STEM field with 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including team leadership.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, software engineering, or related technologies.
• Experience delivering complex technical initiatives and influencing across teams; strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate AI strategy into priorities, plans, milestones, and outcomes.
• Lead AI/ML, GenAI, automation, and software initiatives; guide technical decisions.
• Develop engineers, support hiring and performance, and foster future technical leaders.

Engineering Manager – AI Enablement & Automation | M4

Lead a team of AI/ML and software engineering professionals developing AI-enabled solutions that improve engineering productivity and business outcomes. Own execution of the AI roadmap, translating business needs into scalable solutions from ideation → MVP → deployment → adoption. Balance people leadership, technical depth, execution, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate AI strategy into priorities, plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes; identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities.
• Lead AI/ML, GenAI, automation, and software initiatives; guide technical decisions and resolve complex cross-team challenges.
• Develop experienced engineers, build AI/GenAI and software capabilities, support hiring and performance management, and develop future technical leaders.
• Partner with global engineering teams, architects, product owners, discipline leaders, and business stakeholders to drive adoption and reuse.
• Focus innovation on the right business and engineering problems; enable experimentation and scale successful solutions across the organization.
• Establish engineering practices and metrics that improve adoption, productivity, quality, efficiency, and delivery.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related STEM field with 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including team leadership. Strong understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, software engineering, or related technologies. Experience delivering complex technical initiatives and influencing across teams. Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and people leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

• Preferred Experience with cloud, APIs, data platforms, CI/CD, and modern software engineering.
• Experience building AI capabilities or platforms in a global engineering environment.
