Job summary

SPML seeks a Manager Electrical in Pune to lead R&D efforts for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will oversee inverter design, control systems, power conversion and protection, guiding cross-functional teams from concept to production.

The role requires 5–8 years in electrical engineering within Battery/Automotive fields, with oversight of BMS development, safety, and performance standards. Collaborative, cross-functional leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Experience in Battery/Automotive projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical R&D efforts for BESS, including inverter design and control systems.
• Supervise development and validation of BMS and energy management systems.
• Direct prototype development, testing, and performance analysis.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing and QA for manufacturability and reliability.

Electrical R&D (BESS) will lead andmanage the research and development of electrical systems and subsystemsrelated to Battery Energy Storage Systems. The role includes overseeingtechnical teams, guiding innovation in power electronics, battery managementsystems (BMS), control algorithms, and ensuring compliance with safety andperformance standards. The Deputy Manager will collaborate cross-functionallyto bring cutting-edge BESS solutions from concept to production.

Design and solutioning of lithium ion battery systems ,knowledge of the factor for calculations and designing of battery pack ,responsible for approvals of products , should have knowledge of standardsrequirement of lithium ion packs in system segment , should have knowledge ofAutocad for electrical layouts .
