Roles & Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end offshore delivery of US Corporate Income Tax (Form 1120) engagements using both OneSource Income Tax (OIT) and CCH Axcess, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and multi-state regulations.
- Perform detailed technical review of returns prepared by Seniors and Staff across OIT and CCH platforms, with focus on book-to-tax adjustments, M-1/M-3 reconciliation, apportionment, and state modifications.
- Oversee trial balance imports, diagnostics clearing, mapping (TCCs, M-lines, state lines), and system validations in both OIT and CCH environments.
- Serve as the primary offshore point of contact for US clients and engagement teams; manage communications, expectations, and escalations proactively.
- Lead and manage a team of Seniors and Staff, including work allocation, review planning, performance feedback, and capability development.
- Drive engagement planning, timeline management, and budget tracking (budget vs. actuals), ensuring optimal utilization and realization.
- Coordinate directly with US Managers/Partners on technical matters, open items, and risk areas; provide status updates and recommend solutions.
- Review and validate apportionment data and multi-state compliance to mitigate filing risks and ensure consistency across jurisdictions.
- Support onboarding and transition of new engagements into the offshore model, including documentation, SOP creation, and knowledge transfer oversight.
- Implement quality control checkpoints and continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce rework.
- Lead peak-season resource planning, workload balancing, and contingency management.
- Promote a high-performance culture focused on accountability, quality, collaboration, and professional growth.
Desired Skills (Technical & Behavioral)
- 8-11 years of experience in US Corporate Tax (Form 1120) compliance and review.
- Hands-on experience in both OneSource Income Tax (OIT) and CCH Axcess is mandatory.
- Strong technical knowledge of US Federal and multi-state corporate tax compliance.
- Proven experience managing offshore teams, including mentoring, review oversight, and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with US clients and stakeholders, with strong communication and expectation management skills.
- Strong understanding of trial balance imports, diagnostics, mapping structures, and apportionment processes in both systems.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Strong analytical mindset with focus on risk identification, quality control, and process optimization.
- CPA / EA preferred.
