Job summary

AXA XL, the PC and specialty risk division of AXA, seeks a Management Trainee/AM in Financial Planning Analysis in Gurugram. The role centers on building MI dashboards, analyzing regional performance, and driving data-driven decision making across brokers, clients, and countries.

The ideal candidate holds CA or MBA Finance with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and hands-on SQL experience, to support senior management with timely insights and robust financial commentary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare MI tools dashboards by translating business specifications into automated modules such as Chief Executive Packs and interactive reports
• Conduct in-depth analysis of budgets, variances, and profits by region, country, and entity; prepare commentary
• Develop and test changes to reporting tools and optimize data flows
• Design and develop new analytics to support decision making
• Create and implement controls and maintain documentation for processes and systems
• Drive process automation and standardization of reports, dashboards, and presentations
• Maintain communication with onshore teams and manage expectations

Management Trainee/AM, Financial Planning Analysis

Know it matters. FPA team publishes Management Reports for Insurance Segment to support Leadership / Senior Management in decision making. The process involves deep analysis of information, triangulation with key parameters (Business vs region/ country) and has quick turnarounds. This role will be focusing on driving regional analytics to measure business performance towards broker management, client management, country management and legal entity management.

What youll be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include

• Development and Preparation of comprehensive Management Information tools dashboards by understanding Business specifications and translating them into automated modules: - like Chief Executive Packs, Interactive reports etc.

• Detailed in depth analysis (like Budget variance ratio analysis etc.) and review of financial results and various heads profit loss account by region, business segment, country legal entity and preparing commentary for the same.
• Development Testing of Change Management of the reporting tools.
• Designing / Development of New Business Analytics to support decision making.
• Creation and implementation of proper controls checks for deliverables along with production and maintenance of appropriate supporting documentation (in respect of the process, systems and controls).
• Drive process automation and standardization of various reports / dashboards / presentations.
• Maintain communication with onshore team (both written and verbal) and manage expectation.

You will report to Senior Manager, Financial Planning Analysis.

• Chartered Accountant with relevant years of post-qualification or MBA (Finance) with relavent years of post-qualification experience in an organization of repute with Finance Planning Analysis background.
• Functional skills backed with analytical skills, problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint [Desirable skills in slicing dicing Data, SQL].
• Communication interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal/external teams across the globe.
• Organized, methodical, able to deal effectively with multiple priorities and do multitasking.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Curious and analytical mind-set able to connect high-level concepts through to underlying details.
• Ability to work self-supportedly in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
