Job summary

ILM India, part of Industrial Light & Magic, is expanding its finance team in Mumbai. The Management Accountant will support the India finance function with planning, analysis, cost control, and process improvements to drive financial sustainability in a dynamic entertainment environment.

You will work with Oracle Financial System, manage fixed assets, accounts payable, and tax reporting, while contributing to strategic planning and risk management for the studio's growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial accounting processes and month-end close.
• Knowledge of GST/Tax reporting and compliance.
• Ability to prepare management reports and cost control measures.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable, including coding, verification and payments in Oracle.
• Maintain Fixed Assets database, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Support Oracle Financial System implementation and ongoing support.
• Process expense claims and reconcile credit card statements.
• Assist in GST/Tax reporting preparations.
• Prepare management reports (P&L, efficiency tracking).
• Monitor costs to keep the studio within budget and flag deviations.
• Assist in long-term financial planning and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure internal policy compliance.

Position Summary

The youngest of all the ILM studios, the India studio leverages the expertise and technological know-how developed over 50 years at Industrial Light & Magic combined with the top artists and technicians in the region. Knowledge and culture flow freely between the company’s five studios and the global team shares tools and workflow allowing for seamless collaboration on all projects.

As we grow ILM India, we are seeking a Management Accountant to be a member of our team and be a key part of this exciting opportunity.

The Management Accountant will provide support to the India finance team, playing a key role in financial planning and analysis, process improvement and cost control

What You’ll Do

• Accounts Payable – coding, reviewing, verification and processing invoices and payment runs in accordance with management approvals and controls, assist in closing AP module in Oracle after posting


• Fixed Assets - maintaining database including preparing of the monthly additions & disposals, running of depreciation, reconciling to the General Ledger, closing FA & CIP in Oracle and periodic review of physical inventories


• Oracle Financial System– Implementation and ongoing support


• Expense claims - coding, reconciling and processing expense claims


• Credit Card Statements - coding, reconciling and processing monthly credit card statements and ensuring payment reconciliations


• GST/TAX reporting prep—assist in preparation of reports for GST/Tax reporting


• Management reports like P&L statement, Efficiency Tracking


• Cost Control: Monitoring and controlling costs to ensure studio is within budget, highlighting any potential deviations and proposing corrective actions when necessary


• Strategic Planning: Assisting in the development of long-term financial plans and strategies to support the company's growth objectives and ensure its financial sustainability in the dynamic entertainment industry


• Risk Management: Identifying and evaluating financial risks that may impact the company's operations, implementing risk management strategies, and recommending appropriate measures to mitigate potential threats


• Compliance and Audit: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, coordinating with external auditors, and facilitating audits to maintain the integrity and transparency of financial processes
